Its Sirensong. I shrug it off.

I notice that the party is in mid-combat, which tells me that the tank must've either forcibly left or they tried after he/did. Either way, they wipe and regroup.

And that's when I notice the ninja.

When people tell me Sirensong doesn't need an ilvl check...



Clearly its not their first lvling rodeo and yet, they went in as such. This is why I get annoyed with players who go "well you can clear it with just i200". People like that convienently forget you're playing with THREE OTHER PEOPLE. When you go in with half your side i200, you're basically making everyone pick up your slack. Automatically. There's no ifs and buts about it. Everyone else in that party were in i260 minimum.

To her credit, at least she played well and didn't make the run any harder than it could've been (not like I was mass pulling that run anyways lol) but still...

SE PLS MAKE MINIMUM ILVL REQUIREMENTS A THING ALREADY. PLEASE.

I've just stopped reporting when I run into severely undergeared people in leveling dungeons. It's happened literally every run for me so far for like a week.

I won't show but it should be around 246-248. Her left side is 200 and her right is 260. Her weapon is 265. I suppose it'd be better to ask for hard stat check check (similar to craft stat requirements) than ilvl.

I would like to formally congratulate the aether duty finder for... I can't even pin a word to it. It's deserving of scorn.

I get a stack marker on Lakshmi normal (playing ast), only the other healer decided to stack with me. Mind you we were NEXT TO THE BOSS and then both of us die. What's a mechanic?

I used to do it on BLM after getting a bunch of healers letting people die in a row, since you could cross class Cure as THM :P Granted, when I did it I was still below lvl 35 so no big harm done haha.

To be fair, BLM got Physick.

Actually have a story for once. Trial Rouletted into Susano HM. Fairly easy trial, especially since I'm on an AST and can cover a lot of issues if they come up. Barrier goes down, protect comes up, Bard shoots the boss. No big deal, tanks should provoke off and...It never happened. One tank may have been autoattacking, the other did nothing, Susano wiped us eventually (obviously) with the unattacking tank both using Hallowed Ground and Clemency to keep himself alive longer.

Second shot, barrier down, protect up, tank pulls, everything going well (Bar one bad marker for the Seas Part part whose name I never remember), clear the first sword without issue, second sword, the Ninja apparently grabs, which causes the tanks to do...Nothing. Maybe DPS the thing? Either way, I noticed too late the orbs weren't being taken care of, eating one with the part and the last one solo, killing me, the other healer dies to the ultimate,w e wipe later with no SMN or RDM.

I don't bother calling out the tank because what's the point? Things happen, we'll get it this time. Except the tank starts calling out the NIN for taking the sword, implying that was why we wiped (Uh...?). After a bit of back and forth on what happened (At the time I hadn't actually noticed the NIN took the sword, that's how little it mattered) with the tank blaming the DPS and claiming that he had taken care of the orbs (My death shows otherwise), the tank decided to demand we kick him, then "Enjoy with no tanks" (I've noticed now that both are from the same server. Hmm. Oh look, same FC) and that they did their jobs (Once again, why I died...). Eventually, it was vote abandoned, but still.

I've been seeing this more often lately.

I did a Rabanastre the other day and one of our guys got a stack marker. We all stacked on him. For some reason, he started backing away so we backed along with him. Then he suddenly ran away from us and died. Lol!

Maybe lately, new people don't know what a stack marker is and mistook it for an aoe marker? That's my guess.

Got Haukke Manor as PLD with *drum rolls* 2 SMN and a SCH.

The entire dungeon session was filled with puns and jokes about Summoners, scholars and their abilities.

Of course, since my favourite job is SMN, I joined in the fun.

Best PUG ever.

I just had a Byakko kill party disband because the WAR said a WAR never main tanks anything and insisted on it.

I was the PLD and said I've only OT'd the fight and PLDs are usually OT now anyway, was of course willing to MT if the group insisted, but the party disbanded before I had time to even say it.

I already have the fight on farm and have around 30 kills so not my loss, I guess, just ridiculous.

I stepped away from the game for about a month until the last patch came out and I decided to try running the LVL 70 roulette on my DRK because I was rusty and wanted to get comfortable with the job again to practice my tanking.

Well I qued up and got Ala Mihgo. I started off the run by saying "Hey, im a little rusty so bear with me" and all seems. I didn't do the full first mob but instead broke it down in two because I didn't want to overwhelm myself right off the bat. After that the healer said she wanted me to pull bigger mobs, so I tried it by pulling that whole mob after the first boss. It didn't go well, I may have forgot a few cooldowns or not been managing my Dark Arts well enough but then the group kicked me after we managed to bring them down. T_T

It hurt my soul, I haven't touched DRK since because it made me feel like crap and I didn't want it to happen again, but I decided I'm gonna give it another go. I really like DRK and want it to be my main tank ^_^

A word for everyone out there, be patient with your tanks, especially the newb ones like me who are just doing our best!
