Why is it ok to own a full ward? Even if noone was buying the plots why is buying up an entire ward looked at as ok to do? I mean you can't do it anymore but still? We got some people defending that and I have to be missing something.. cause no matter how I look at it.. I can only see it as greed. And isn't greed a BAD thing?

Defending that or not is irrelevant because the question is aimed at the wrong people: the playerbase.

That's a question to be pointed at SE during their next live letter. Let them answer that. Until then, this entire thread is moot.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

Taking something that no one wanted is greedy and a bad thing?
You need to keep in mind: During the time those two ladies started buying that ward NO ONE wanted those plots. They talked about seeing people move out, not in. They saw something, no one else was intrested in and they took an intrest instead.
You can argue that once the housing crisis reached Mateus aswell that it was "greedy" or "selfish" of them to keep the plots instead of giving some up for the people transfering to the server now - personally I'd say it would be nice of them to give up some houses, but they're by no means required to do so and by no means should anyone attack them.

Imagine, there is cake. The whol family knows about it. You tell your brother "Hey, come downstairs, have some cake!" but he rather stays in his room, playing some games. The rest of the family has cake and puts the leftovers in the fridge. Two days later, you see that there is still cake in the fridge - no one else seems to want it, so you eat it. Three days after that your brother starts yelling at you because you ate the cake that he wanted to have NOW after it was sitting untouched in the fridge for days.
Have you been greedy, taking something no one else wanted?

Seriously, those ladies had time to level up 8 characters, make the money for the houses on a rather small server and rather saw people leave instead of buy the open plots... That is, what you're missing. At the time they were buying the ward, no one else wanted those houses.

    +1

It pretty funny how we have 4 pages of people rambling about what is ethical, greedy and business vs greed vs RL.

    So funny to read

    Storytime!

When I lived near Hollywood I would frequent a certain famous animation house with a mouse mascot's ice cream store. They sold LE pins of their various characters if you bought a certain sundae. When they previewed something that I knew would be profitable, I would go multiple times with friends/family and buy them the sundae, ensuring that I would have multiples of LE designs I could hawk on ebay/fb - some to make a quick buck and some to sit on to sell once their “set” was complete.

Smart? I'd say so! It was pretty low effort and earned me a pretty penny. Greedy? I see no point in denying it. I was hoarding things that had a finite supply near exclusively for profit, and I cared about $ more then I cared about others having a thing they wanted.

I don't understand why you can't imagine the possibility of being both. I know I was :3

Everyone is entitled to their own perspective, and thx for sharing that story. What I think most people misunderstand is that the word greed is implied as a perspective of someones actions and success.

A person who brags their success from the start, implies how they took advantage to get recognition is what I could be see as greedy, ( those shouting constantly for example to join FC with multiple plots ) however those who stay quiet, build trust with the consumer as is on equal terms of negotiation is what I consider smart.

Another example of debate would those honest players who grind and earn their achievements and those who use RTM services. So how would you categorize those? are they both in a way the same as well?

Look we may have our differences and probably based on our experiences our judgement may be based on that, however any way you see it life in all aspects is a business decision. Everything has a cause and effect. Those who missed and opportunity can only really blame themselves or place the blame on someone else to lessen the blow of their short comings.

No matter the perspective, greed is greed. Period. Right or wrong, it's greedy. You, and others who have done similar things, were not breaking any rules and in all likelihood won't be punished. That's fine. You did nothing wrong from a ToS standpoint. Ethically? Not exactly the best thing to do. Don't expect people to be fine with your taking advantage of a fairly limited system.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.
