Why do you lock up your houses?

I only lock my house if I know I'm going to be RPing there within the next few hours so I don't end up with someone who was exploring the house deciding to strip down to his skivvies and spam emotes on top of us while we gossip about our FC leader during a tea party.

I lock mine while I'm still decorating, having people come in and out is a little distracting. Beyond that it's unlocked for any and all!

As many posted beforehand, I also lock my house for decoration, or when I am about to roleplay, since paranoia tells me, someone will burst in an start disrupting by spamming manderville dances and a mixtures of "lol" "rofl" and smily-induced comments, for reasons ^_^.

I have never seen strangers roleplay inside, but I'd not lock my door even if I did. Instead my character would walk by, casually greet everyone and start talking to them, as if it was nothing special for her to see unknown faces in her house ^_^.

I never lock my house or rooms. I got nothing to hide (except my secret room).

There just 2 reasons why people lock their houses:

1. Interior under construction
2. No furnishing inside, because you are a house seller and dont want to show your empty house to other people

If you think there are only 2 reasons then you haven't been paying attention to the thread. Here's a very simple one for you, I don't like people I don't know wandering through my house.

I tend to lock up my house cos if anyone is doing any ERP in my house it will be me and me alone. If you really want to know what the inside of my house looks like its posted on you tube

at any rate never had anyone come into my house to RP but mind you i've alway kept my house locked. i've caught someone in my garden before now.

I tend to like my privacy like other people have said and so does one of my charciters likes her privacy (yeah I have my house shared between my main and alt even know my alt, even now, can get her own place)

Had a couple of randoms running in and out of my house once, stopped infront of me /thumbsup /laugh, ran away, didn't cared, neither had a problem about that, should've though... about a week later i was brainless roaming through the area just to find a pretty much exact copy of my house and garden (also on the inside) on the opposite side of the ward. Kept it locked for redecorating after that for a while, never finished it until now (it's been a year? xD Unlocked cause meh).
Anyways, they left the spot shortly after, weirdos *-*

If someone copied my house I'd be happy about it, because someone liked it so much, they had to have one for themselves ^_^. Sometimes I borrow ideas too. Not entire interiors, but nice furniture combinations I would never have come up with myself.
