Though we'll never see this since when realm has peace this games story arc will be over & probably start a new story for it in new realm.
So why would Ul'Dah, Gridania, Limsa, and Ishgard leadership turn on us? Just the leadership, it should even be easy to come up with a reason for one of those city-states! Seriosuly, if the Primals were no longer a threat, Ascians gone and Garlemald either peaceful or destroyed WHY would the leadership of those four city-states turn on us?

Then the premise is already flawed given the WoL is the least dangerous option Eorzea has for Primal slaying, but the point was to see what Umbra thinks would be the reason they would kick the WoL to the curb if all the big reasons we are around were taken care of, Primals being included.

I've only progressed the MSQ to 3.1, so my current impression of the WoL, and the direction my WoL is going may differ from those who are further along with the story. For me, the death count, both caused and endured has made the WoL question her purpose. After the events of the Vault and the Antitower, enter the DRK questline for my version of the WoL, and after that, she vanishes off of the face of Eorzea; leaving only her signature aftermath of battle as a means to confirm that she is still alive.

In short, if my version of the WoL was canon, the MSQ ends after the Antitower and she disappears. Not necessarily because the death count has become so high (I can only imagine how much higher it is for those who are caught up), but because she chooses the path of deciding for herself who is the greatest threat to the planet.

She sees the MSQ struggles as 'a fight amongst ally cats', and focuses on the Voidsent who she feels threatens not only the entire planet, but existence itself. The questlines for both ARR and HW 24-man raids are a great example of where she shows up out of the blue to take care of a threat that SHE chooses. I can just see the smile on Alphinaud's face as he examines the wake and thinks, "What remains here are the ashes of the true enemy to our true friend."

Stepping outside of self-written lore, I have troubles as a healer main, dealing with all the blood the WoL spills. So enter DRK and a dual personality and it facilitates progression of the MSQ.

we are no ones major asset, we are adventures and good ones at that, we help those in need not intimidate the weak.

while we help everyone/make allies we don't just do anything willy nilly just because someone said so.

There's nothing technical about it, they're outright not Primals.
We can leave them well enough alone once we've quenched their bloodthirst because they don't drain the land of aether, nor do they temper anyone.

As for why people would maybe turn against us at times of peace, because they need a common enemy. But I get the feeling most people don't even know who we are so we can theoretically become that scapegoat while still living our lives as adventurers and no one'd ever be the wiser. They won't actually come after us, because like was repeated more than plentifully - we're just that strong.

Actually, I think as a Warrior of Light, that with the kind of power I wield, I've been pretty tame and nice about it. Down to picking up flowers and doing some other low tasks to help people i've just met. Warrior of Light is pretty selfless. The ones who died from my hand were not Carebears full of love

Them being the new trials tier has nothing to do with their lore standing. Going back to your original point of there being a slump in Primal summoning, we've had a Garuda summoning in Xelphatol and another Lakshmi summoning in 4.1. Them not being trials with extreme modes doesn't mean they don't get summoned.

well i was comparing to 2.0 were every patch was a primal and a ex primal , then you had 3.0 where with the triads they were already summoned/killed on the spot and ex mode was just a simulation and not a real summoning.

The story premise is that the WoL has no true other agenda, and from the cold perspective of the story us being adventurers and therefore merceneries also won't help because it's not like we'll (canonically) turn against Eorzea if the Emperor came to us and offered us a job. From start to finish everyone believes in us and supports us and seem more than happy to leave us to our crafting and sidequests whenever they don't need us to win wars.

And in that sense all those fetch-quests actually come in handy, because it helps build a canonical rapport between our chara and even the lesser citizens, showing that while the game strong-armed us, our chara is still humble and kind enough to help the common man for very measly gain just because that's our true nature - we're just good people, and literally everyone knows it. Hell, Teledji based most of his plot on us being bffs with Nanamo and us helping the refugees.
You took my argument and voiced it perfectly. The people would never turn against us. We've done so much for them over a long period of time, and everyone knows it. We've never struck at the innocent, and always gone out of our way to defend them, no matter the situation. Think of how many children will be growing up, wanting to be like the Warrior of Light? Think of the new Adventurers who joined up because of us. Think of all of the City State Leaders, Guild leaders, Beast Tribe Leaders, etc who would stand by us at this point.

    Like the Doman Adventurer Guild

Think of the new Adventurers who joined up because of us.
