Ruh' roh....
Ruh' roh.... you're so silly. I remember when SE Implemented jump. People work canceling their account They're silly to
My FC got a ton of flake when the new housing area came out and the FC leader got the large up on the hill there (plot 30, I think) so that sort of thing isn't an isolated incident. I know that FC still comes over to our house and harasses people (and those wards have been out for months by now.)It's a rumor. Not actually happening. At least the FC leader denies about all claims regards to that. Only thing that's confirmed is that he deliberately harassed players and griefed them, and kicked out few of his members because they did not agree to his behaviors. He later pulled Kevin Spacey tweet towards people, and it didn't go so well so he later actually posted a sincere apology for everything that has happened.
Regardless, I think SE really needs to create more gold sinks. The fact that so many people not only want houses but can afford said houses that they create this sort of uproar is a testament to the lack of gold sinks in the game. Oh, if you buy everything from the MB, you'll be poor enough, but you can literally get almost everything else in the game by working for it. Even the BT mounts/minions are very cheap. Housing is really the only huge purchase that's bought from an NPC (technically) and therefore it's one of the only ways you can kinda-sorta prove you're rich. They need NPCs that sell mounts, glam, minions, etc for cold hard gil and a lot of it. WoW does do that well. There are a ton of mounts that range from affordable to the most expensive thing in the game, and they always add in new ones. So you get the multiseater mounts, the mounts with vendors, and the purely gold sink ones. The most expensive thing in that game is the spider mount, which costs like 2m gold (which would be like 500m to 750m gil when it came out.) People bought that and still ride them, regardless that it's a ground mount and they're in flying zones. xD The black market auction house is a nice feature as well. The NPC auctions stuff that are either really rare or that were taken out of the game at an earlier date and they also sell these boxes that are wonderful gold sinks -- they contain rare, rare mounts, transmog, and useless stuff. So you could end up with the rarest mount in the game or a minion worth 20k gil.
SE simply needs to give players more ways to spend gil other than housing. Make a beautiful, shiny mount that costs 750m and I can guarantee a ton of people would buy that over a house. After all, a large in the Shiro is nice and all, but they can't ride that everywhere and proclaim their wealth like a mount would do.
So can i ask SE for my money back? - I paid money to transfer servers, so I could get a house. So if you transfer for free and get a house - I want my money back!!!
Fellow Zaleran here. Are the free transfers to underpopulated servers still going? It had been for atleast a month when SB came out, plenty of time to change servers just for housing. Here on Zalera a friend transfered to one of the new Goblet plots. When they logged off to go to sleep they still were the ONLY house in that ward. The only place that was filling up was Shirogane and even then there were plenty of smalls and mediums.
Just wanted to chime in saying that last I checked (just the other day) there were still TONS of houses in EVERY housing area on Zalera. There are even larges and mediums in Lavender Beds and I saw mediums still available in Shirogane.Tons of smalls everywhere. I really don't get it... if people are so set on having a house - so much so that they will QUIT if they can't - then for the love of the twelve, MOVE TO A SMALL SERVER. Small servers are so much nicer anyway imo. It's like a community where most people know each other.

An update on my friends paticular wards: One person has moved in. So TWO houses have been taken with the rest of the ward still free in atleast on Goblet area!Fellow Zaleran here.

And how long will those be there once people are, you know, allowed to buy them?Fellow Zaleran here.

Probably for a long time. When 4.1 first was released, even hours after the patch there were still houses available in some wards - only smalls but even still that's amazing considering how much hype there was, how many people transferred specifically for housing and how it was only one single new housing area. In fact, I think I even saw a couple straggler houses left even as far as a few days later and I still saw a couple small houses in Lavender Beds weeks later. So my guess is that there will still be plenty of houses on this server even after housing opens up to individuals. Especially with the new restrictions in place of only 1 house per server per service account.
Many people on Zalera do not craft, so most don't have the funds for housing to begin with. I gave away so much gil to friends so they could purchase small houses which they otherwise would not have been able to. A friend of mine ended up getting a house in Lavender beds something like two weeks after the patch. Demolition timers were on pause so it was literally just a house that no one took (I believe transfers were still locked; Zalera was a preferred world and transferring from a preferred world was locked if I'm remembering right. If not, it could have been a transfer but either way there were tons of houses available way after the patch went live, giving everyone plenty of time to grab something).
According to the census for January 2018, there are about 6,300 active players on Zalera. In total, there are 4,320 houses + apartments. Many people aren't interested in houses and/or are happy with apartments. Another large portion of those players won't be able to keep a house due to the fact that a constant subscription is required. Yet even more will be blocked out from having a lack of gil. Some won't need their own home, due to sharing with a friend/partner or being happy with just using the FC home. I'm quite certain that Zalera will have a wealth of homes for quite some time to come.![]()

They can still stay in a populated server and get a house. Gilgamesh has quite a few houses available still. Even a few mediums last I checked a couple days ago. (Not that we need any Balmung refugees :^) )Fellow Zaleran here.

A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.
