Can we please get SOMETHING TO DO ingame?

Really now? really? Im asking for something to do besides ranking up (which Im almost done leveling them all, except for crafting cuz they bore the hell out of me, only 2 fighting classes to go)

What Im asking for is some sort of minigames to keep me entertained. Killing stuff can only be so entertaining after a year and a half of the game -_-

The best thing that you'll probably get in the short term is the Achievement system when that gets implemented in 1.20. It'll be the closest thing to a built-in minigame that we have. Of course, the achievements will probably involve killing stuff so... =\

But, who knows! Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.

Get all the achievements in game. (Well, now it's just History log but wtver) I'm 600 entries and counting!

You don't have to have SE to implement this stuff, get creative and provide some content for yourself! (i know, they need to add more content...and they are with the next patch which should be out in a couple of weeks).

Define a course in a zone for you and your friends to race in. Wager on who can get the last kill on a mob, or on if a lowbie will survive that aggro'd 15 level higher mob that's attacking them

If i gotta pay 15$/ month to make up my own imaginary fun then there is something really wrong going on here.

Honestly i don't care how much we get in a patch... it could be nothing at all. I rather have them put most of their time and resources on 2.0 so that we won't be disappointed again but don't make us pay for nothing.

Won't happen. Even if they considered it, the forums would be flooded with threads of FFXI lovers crying that the game is ruined for them.

i know trust me i know. the niche market has been holding FF series back for a long time. i see a shenmue style end to this game also when the time comes. you rather grow or you get left behind. FF series has not grown at all only taking steps back.

A big FFA arena would be fun, but then again the servers suck so hard that you can't see more than 40 people at a time, and the lag in PVP would make me rage endlessly. Not to mention that melee have zero gap closers, so it'd be an automatic win for ranged. Oh, and there's no interrupts, so have fun stopping a mage from turreting and casting. On second thought, PVP in this game sounds pretty awful.
