tbh i dont think ff needs pvp at all. draws the wrong kind of players imo and only ends up with constant whining that x class can beat y class nerffffff nowwww .

not enough to do, take a break, play other games as alot of us do. not one game in existance keeps ppl happy forever, so add some variety and dabble in a few.
take the games for what they are, games, not rl and certainly should not be something you need to live in, in order to be happy with them.

Honestly, some of the most fun I had in FFXI involved events my LS and I setup on our own. Level 1 race to Jeuno from the main cities, taking out Bubbly Bernie with an alliance of lvl 1s, or even just trying to take a group photo of the LS in an aggro area. For myself and my friends, those are the things we talk about years later. Those are the memories I cherish most from FFXI. Those are the things I can't wait to get to in FFXIV.

Sure, ranking up is fun (except when you only got two fighting class left and dont really feel any need to lvl them) and so is going to teh dungeon and killing ifrit and the ebast camps.

You can always Harvest or fish or level a craft. There is plenty of other stuff besides battle. Although i do agree slightly with you. There is nothing better than the havock and death from battle. Things must die!

Not sure why you're still replying to this Irana... but it sounds like you're just tired of the existing content. If it is, it simply comes down to this; wait for it. It's a game and any game can get boring after playing the same battles over and over again. MMO solves this with new content, as well as single player games with DLC. All you can do is just wait for them. This has been mentioned a bunch of times already. The content is rolling in for 1.20 within a month, hopefully.

As for people suggesting user based content; It is not always an ideal "group activity" for everyone. Such as some people like to roleplay, create artistic videos, apply challenge limitations, and so on. Needless to say, these activities are more of self amusement, and less on character development or game progression. In other words, some people want to play the game for the game, and other enjoy using as a medium for other means.

Such as I like to create silly comics highlighting my experiences, opinions, and other aspects of FFXIV. Is that part of the game content? No. I'm just using the game as a context medium so I can enjoy drawing silly comics. I could draw silly comics about anything, doesn't have to be FFXIV.

dlc's are just a way to get you to pay more for a game, while they are fun, the only thing they truely do is ruin your trade in value for the game cause your sitting on the stupid thing for half a year for the dlc's. how bout putting all the content in all at once and stop waisting our time. while i don't like nothing to do, i rather have nothing to do after fully done rather then in small spurts between content. that way i can at least say screw off and not pay for the game/mmo.

Why always, when someone starts a sentence along the lines "I find it boring in the game...." there is someone handing out life advise on how you should be doing other stuff with your life than sit home feeling bored playing a computer game?
For the love of god, the game IS BORING if you have done all the fun stuff in it already so I think it is very valid to come on the forums and discuss the need of more content.
I am sure if OP needed advice on how to spend his/her freetime outside of the game, they could go and ask that on Yahoo questions or something, not on FFXIV forums! (lol)
