Can we please have the option to switch personal homes into FC homes??

This would have been fine but you can't do it anymore. Now upon relinquishing a plot, it becomes unavailable for a time. This was to prevent reselling, which is great. But sadly it also blocks legit people from doing this.

In this case, it would be possible though - if I understand correctly, the FC has a house already?
Relocating ignores the random timer - so if he gives up his personal house (or relocates it, I'd expect there are other houses on Zalera still open?), you can relocate the FC-house to that plot immidiatly.

Well considering the hazard of redesigning a system/integration - a "conversion" would be in a sense - a short cut - destroy the house - rebuild it and make it FC capable - but its not that simple - you have inventory/furniture/storage/outdoor furniture sitting there. It's also likely the reason why they decided to do this - that being - prevent of abuse/gil farming/etc.

Its already very easy to get gil these days. Housing is an on going argument and with that - likely will be an ongoing frustration.

But still - a hefty fee to convert would stem the tide. - Make it a one way trip - that way they can't be flipped back to personal use. They favor FC's over personal use already as it is.

I think it's a anti abuse system that was in their mind. Problem now is the RNG timer, so even if said leader relinqish the plot so said FC and reclaim and it purchase it they simply can't until timer says "OK!"

True....and prior to 4.25 - this was possible. My house was freely given to me as a gift of thankfulness (A small ) - the process in which it was done was very quick/very efficient. - Now today? The timer will block that.

As for selling the FC - well...i guess if your THAT desperate to get a house....seems like a lot of work to go through...but people will do weird things. It only took me and my partner 72 hours to get rank 6 to buy a house...from the moment we started our FC...prob would have done it sooner in fact. Just needed the gil and the will to farm gear for GC Seals.

There are legitimate and FAIR situations where people will sell a house without resorting to extortion or exorbitant prices. But the abuse possibility is too high.

Honestly the direction SE is taking his is likely going to help balance things out. No its not perfect...but its better than it was before.

Not entirely true....if the FC already has a house..they can "relocate" - as far as I understood it.
The timer is only a factor if your buying a plot upfront. (FC doesn't get a timer - If I'm not mistaken - or maybe they do? Need confirmation. SO CONFUSING! >.<;

FC's get the timer for straight up purchases, just like individuals will when the moratorium ends. But transfers are on another systrem, so yes they could relinquish the personal house and transfer the fc rights the same minute.

The RNG timer does not apply to relocations, so the FC leader could relinquish his house, then immediately relocate the FC house there, assuming he has the funds to basically repurchase the lot (relocation barely takes anything off plot price).

With the demolition timer being randomised I feel this feature is vital. As it is now fcs are basically locked out of reliably turning a personal plot into a fc plot.

There is a random timer from a plot being relinquished/ demolished until it is available for purchase (not relocation, just new purchase). Anything in the new wards would not have had the timer unless someone bought a house, then relocated elsewhere (seems really silly, but I think it happened to a few people).
