I can recall a time when this was a norm and you would have gangs of people just camped in the boss room for hours or days hoping to get the last hit on the boss (that spawns way to infrequently) to get the reward. Not against it in theory, but it can cause some serious bottle necks and cause people to go into rages if they have to wait around one area for too long.

I had always wondered why the official forums never included an art section considering Lodestone hosts for various kinds of art contests often.

Apparently the reason is Reddit has the edge on that. Wish it weren't the case since I hate that joint, too, and Tumblr is the RP hub as well. That's a lot of stuffto parse through for decent fanart

I think if someone resells an item you crafted for them, you shouldn't get mad at them. You got your end of the deal, it's not your business what they do with it from that point.

Here's one, I think Alphinaud's a great character, and I love that we've gotten to watch him grow into a stronger man. He's like the little brother I never had.

Last time people complained about Minfillia because she was a glorified, 'inactive' leader who didn't want her hands dirty and has no unique characterization aside from looking pretty. Also because she liked to summon us in person one too many times.

Now people complain because Alphinaud is a too active leader (technically, the Scions currently don't have official leader but he's pretty much the face) and keeps getting trait after trait to his personalities which they deem unnecesary and ruin his character. He also tags along with us 80% of the time, steals spotlights that can be given to other characters and fights alongside us with his unobtainable-in-game Carbuncles.

I don't hate Alphinaud and actually like the devs keep developing him and make him less serious and even more adorable. That said, I do miss Y'shtola and Thancred and they've been missing since 4.0. We'll likely get more Krile in 4.25 with Eureka, at least.

I think the lore forum is a lot better these days.

I honestly dont find the lore forum much different than months before but I also never saw it as something bad. In the end I just find it a bit funny how the opinions can change. And yes I post a lot here too because I want to at least believe that posting about stuff might make a change. (I still have the campaign thread open all the time and will always ask them for more information after some time has gone by)

Unpopular opinion: I dont see Yoshida as something special. He is a normal human like the rest of us and I dont like all this worship of one person, when a lot of the work is done by much more people in the background. But I am often not someone that worship such developers.

I find the sleep spell very useful and use it quite often in my questing.

I love Lyse and having her as my running buddy in SB was a joy. She sometimes says the wrong things and doesn't always know the right thing to do, making her very relatable.

A lot of mentors drag the game down. When I have a problem child in a group it's almost always also a mentor. When someone starts drama in shout or novice network it is also a mentor the majority of the time. I also notice sprouts cause the least amount of trouble.

Concerning FFXIV Reddit - I hate, hate, hate the amount of "I drew a picture of my character," threads. I'm all about art usually (big into comics) but those threads just reek of attention seeking desperation.

Alternatively "I commissioned my character from artist X" or worse: "My character" and not bothering to tell who actually made it.
