Meta is stupid.
NIN and DRG and now MNK need nerfs. WAR should lose its group shield, which should go to DRK instead.

Balmung needs to be unlocked.
Slow down and let healers cast protect before you start bolting.
Put nipples on our characters.
Where’s the booty slider.
Baanga, Viera, Ivalice Moogle, Ronso, Burmecians, and Lupin race please. I just want all the good Final Dantasy races. Give us that whimsicle diversity that IX, XII, and Tactics are known for. It makes the games so lively.
Sephiroth for the last Omega series.
We should get a Marvel crossover.
Bukyo for 5.0.
Quite unpopular I have found, but it works for me:
If you dislike the direction the game's heading but still enjoy the storyline, just unsub and ride the coattails of the Free Log In Campaigns. You can return every couple months or so and not miss any content, as SE likes to coincide these near patch drops. The "current tomestone gear" will always still be there with weekly caps, second-rate gear is always high enough ilvl to do any content unlocked, and you don't miss any storyline.
Did it for most of the 3.X series with no issues, with the exception of 3.3 since the Nidhogg trial looked cool enough to resub.
Lalafells are the best lovers out of all the sentient species. They also are poisonous to eat.

I think it was around when it was first announced, I got no clue. Regardless your view is so unpopular that it caused a wipe on the final boss of The Royal City of Rabanastre from people giving each other stacks from being distracted over having a few people argue over how 150 dollar exlucive emote is stupid, can be 7 dollar emote on the mog station for those that want the emote only while others where auguring it is fine get a better job and that the exclusiveness is fine.Super unpopular opinion: I don’t care if the developers wanted to add in external DLC to the cash shop at a later date. I am talking minions from previous OSTs, Artbooks, Plushies, and the emotes from the Odin/Shiva Statues. I am not a fan of “exclusivity” or “limited time only” deals. I don’t see the big deal if someone just wants a minion or an emote, and wants to pay $5~10 USD for it instead of $50~150. I pay more because I get cool merchandise for the price, PLUS a minion/emote.
Now you know why this exists in the first place, some people are so bent in defending the practice, they wipe raids -.-

The incentives in this game could use some looking at. There isn't anything in this game to keep me playing everyday. Grindfests aren't fun.
This isn't unpopular, and indeed this is the third time it's shown up in this thread alone. I am in total agreement as well, so make that four. In particular, shielding and the ability to stack shields has completely trivialized burst damage and is rapidly devolving into a feedback loop: the importance of shields necessitates stronger direct heals to keep WHM / Di-AST relevant, and the power of both necessitates progressively more ridiculous outgoing damage from encounters. Power creep on the damage side is easy to deal with, just bump boss HP. Power creep on the healing side has yet to be addressed, and the longer SE puts it off, the more painful it will be for them to do.
And I will go even further. Group utility now mostly boils down to "more damage" or "more mitigation", with a few exceptions (Ninja's threat tools, Refresh, Raise). That means every time a tank Job's playerbase complains about lacking utility, they wind up with stuff like Passage of Arms and Shake it Off. So the arms race now encompasses both healer and tank Jobs, as we see with DRK complaints about not having group mitigation.
On a related note: I'd contend also that Raises are too ubiquitous. Red Mage has exacerbated this problem somewhat, to the point that their most prominent group function is as a Raise bot, but SMN's lack of MP issues and WHM's Thin Air have as well. You should not be able to Raise 8 players in a <10-minute encounter (and still complete it!).
As far as I’m aware, there’s never been any announcement or mention of previous external DLCs being made available via the Cash Shop. As for people arguing the price of stuff, well, value is a subjective thing. I pre-ordered for the Statue and the emote, not just the emote. I didn’t pre-order the Odin statue because I didn’t care about the statue or the emote. /shrug
Therein lies the problem though: people see a $150 EMOTE, not a $150 STATUE that comes with an emote as an EXTRA. But it’s the same with the OSTs, Artbooks, and Plushies. People only see the price tag + the external DLC; a lot of the people that complain either don’t want the merchandise and just the DLC: they don’t see the value in the merchandise itself, just the minion/emote code. Hence why I say SE should use throw the minions/emotes in the cash shop at a later date. They will still profit off of people that want the merchandise + the DLC/people that will pay more to get the shiny extras “sooner”, AND they will profit off of people that just want the DLC.

I wouldn't consider that unpopular at all since every new release with a limited item comes with a thread of people baffled by these items being locked.Super unpopular opinion: I don’t care if the developers wanted to add in external DLC to the cash shop at a later date. A minion/emote isn't selling artbooks, but I do think they sold the less expensive streams for the Fanfests.
ya ik, but as you said, and some during that raid, why can't it just be a mog shop item just for the emote? why only tie it to a 150 dollar statue? Regardless I find it funny af auguring over that so much it ended up wiping the raid XD Usually people just stop and play, pretty amazed. As far as I’m aware, there’s never been any announcement or mention of previous external DLCs being made available via the Cash Shop.
