6.) Don't make glamour plates remove manually projected glamours

I ran into this, and was a little miffed by it as well. However, after coming at it from a feature development standpoint, this is probably something that would require a whole line-one rewrite of the Glamour system to change. It feels like the Glam Plates we have now are only a placeholder, and are the first step towards that major change, which I'd bet probably won't be completely finished until 5.0. Really, that kind of systemic change can run deep, and/or there are more important things to assign development resources to right now.

8.) Get rid of the chat log spam

Yeah this is just inexcusable, and really always has been even with screen status messages when changing job gear. At least give us a separate filter channel for "glamour changes" so we can shut it off ourselves.

Mogstation stuff can't be put in the glamour dresser. Those items are placed in the armoire, then the glamour plate system accesses them from there.

Not correct. Mogstation items can not be placed in the armoire (maybe with the exception of the out-of-game event rewards that are now purchasable - i.e. Moogle outfit), but they can be placed in the dresser, and that's a dangerous, dangerous thing with how the system is currently implemented.

You can! You can choose which plate you want outside of an Inn on the character pane. It's the button next to the Recommended Gear button. You can also view your plates there.

To make the switch easier, make a macro. Quoting myself from another thread.



The system is still an improvement, but it needs some work. Just keep in mind the appearance won't swap outside resting areas. But you don't have to go to an inn.

did not see that then only issue I have is that there needs to be atleast 26 plates and make everything from salvager avalible in armoire. Plus please put mog purchases on armoire and salvager

Something done right for once: Purple Weapons can not be put in the Glamour Dresser unless they are Replica weapons.

Why they couldn't do this with MogStation Items, I don't know.

Because artefact weapons have use as in-game items, and being upgradeable have continuous use for their existence as an items in the game. The mogstation stuff's main purpose is for glamouring so they assume people WANT to put them in the glamour storage. That is, in their mind the limitation to put something to glamour store is not related to the "must be deleted" issue, just for the "Has need use outside of glamouring"

And yes, I do know why you were asking it, just trying to figure it from their point of view. They don't see it as an issue that with such a small place people are practically forced to cycle through stuff to put into the plates, especially since plates can't apply look from inventory items.

my 3 heals have all the same gear. still cant make 3 different glams for each heal. new glamsystem is useless like the old one.

Honestly, what's the big deal about dumping mog items into the dresser? Barring the fringe case of "eh, I'm too lazy to glamour so I'll just wear this outright" (and obviously the 200 limit which will obviously be expanded in the future), the only purpose for the items is to glamour, isn't it? Assuming you're not hurting for dresser space, putting it in the dresser to apply it as a glamour gives the same effect of holding onto it to apply it as a glamour. As the feature is expanded, and restrictions and limitations are removed, I can't really see any reason to hold back on putting your glamour items into what is essentially a glamour inventory.

I found it fine, only thing i don't like is the running back and forth on inns which i don't really mind since i'm done with my plates but it was kinda ugh, then i notified my friends "how to not go back an dforth" basically i told em to buy/exchange like 300 glam prisms and none of em complained ez

But that's exactly the problem. And it's not obvious it will be expanded in any meamingfull timeframe. I have couple retainers worth of items I have saved for glamour purposes (excessive, maybe) and if I want to use them I need to cycle them and since all of them are RNG based the glamour store as it is simply doesn't cut it, so I actually can't use the plates either as they require the items to be in glamour storage.

Oh my god, PLEASE allow for us to retrieve items from the glamour dresser. This is a RIDICULOUS addition to the new glamour system. I threw in some leveling gear while really tired and just trying the thing out, then went to throw on my gear TO LEVEL, and now I have to go grind out the tomes to buy it all again. My own fault for not reading everything in depth, granted, but why would I assume that the dresser would EAT THE CLOTHES permanently? It's a dresser meant to hold clothes for an amount of time, right?Not, like, idk a garbage disposal. Though, I suppose I was wrong, about that..
