So glamour plates are dumber than anticipated...

You only get 10 plates. How many jobs do you have? Because I have like 15 not counting crafting and gathering classes... also it's heavily implied the fashion report minigame is supposed to take advantage of the quick glamouring the plates allow.

I have all Jobs but i dont use an extra glamour set for everyone, crafter use same style, gatherers and so on. Im happy with most classes that share same gear that allready saves me a lot of space. Their are only maybe a handfull of classes where i like to have an different set (like my healers for example). Sure it could be more, but right now for the start 10 different plates for me are enough and i can still glamour my gear the classic way.

I have not even set up my glamours yet because of the amateur hour emergency maint that is apparently taking place.

I suspected this might be the case from the start, actually. It's been described as "applying an entire set of glamours at once" so - as much as I was hoping it wasn't the case - I'm not surprised that it does actually apply them as permanent glamours.

They've said they intend to have it connected to gear sets eventually, so I guess that means at a system level it will just overwrite those glamours every time you change sets.

Hopefully when that system comes in properly, they'll also expand the number of plates to match the number of gear sets available.

Well, you can still do so traditionally right? I mean, at best the system is a lot less useful, but thankfully it isn't the only way to glamour now.

That is a shame, I had Hoped it worked like A=B where A is original and B is the glamour Plate, upon removing B it would become A again but instead it does A is replaced by B which definitely hurts the situation since yes now it does interact in a negative way with the original glamour.

Well, it was obvious from the beginning that only 10 plates wouldn't be able to store a glamour set for every single job and class of the game. We knew that the very moment they announced it.
So why the surprise? Besides, what the portion of players who absolutly need to have a different glamour for every job and class?
