Being Japanese I'll say this... look up japanese firearms in WW2. They were often overly complex and worse than much simpler western firearms. The japanese have a tendency to over complicate simple things. I had this issue growing up in america but I adapted and learn to edit my ideas a lot.

The current outfit system is trash. It is overly complicated, lacks intuitiveness, and just doesn't do what the players want.

It reminds me of the firearms in WW2.

We anticipated them working in tandem with the gear set system. So you change jobs and that job's glamour is applied. Instead it just overwrites the glamour with whatever's on the plate and leaves it at that.

I love the glamour plates. I no longer have a congested inventory, so keep complaining I guess.

The big issue as far as I see it is that all your "local" glamours get overwritten by plates, every time. So if you want a special item (say, something you don't want to have to farm ever again) to be a glamour, you have to put it in the dresser for it to take precedence, which effectively eliminates it as gear. Otherwise it'll just get overwritten over, and over, and over.

So, the issue is that people are too lazy to press a button to switch glamour plate, or to make a macro to do it to link job changing and plate changing?
I get that only being able to change in town is lame, but that'd be the only "real" issue I see.

Edit: Oh and if we need to save a plate to be empty so we can use the old glamour system, well, it means that we're exactly one plate short of being able to glamour all combat jobs differently. But again, how much people do that?

they should implement a "Soul Crystal glamour" so we can have enough glamour for each job...

As it originally sounded, you cannot just make plates with different town gear and apply over jobs at your leisure because you lose the glamour of the gear you have on
I haven't gotten to try it before server got nuked, can you make Plate without everything filled up? Also can you apply Plate when there's some pieces missing in your equipped gears?

Yes, and yes. Although probably a little bit no to the second. Obviously the plate can't glamour equipment if you're not wearing anything.

I have two things I would like to see with the Glamour Plates.

    1) More of them. They have suggested they intend to add more as the system is further developed so it isn't all bad. It does mean I have to be very selective about what I use the system for and that means I have to be very careful what I put in the Glamour Dresser since I cant use anything I put in in the old Glamour system since they cant be pulled out again.

    2) The ability to change Glamour Plates outside of cities. I understand there is a technical difficulty here but its a pain having to head back into a city just to switch looks.

Beyond that being able to store more would be nice but not the end of the world. I don't hate the system but I feel without a bit more usability it is a difficult system to really utilise well and also one that allows for costly mistakes (ie. storing an expensive piece of Glamour in the Dresser that you actually want to use to Glamour with the old system).

I know this is going to sound excessively petty, but my biggest complaint about the glamour plates (since I probably won’t be using them) is the stupid button on the character window *exactly* where the gear set button used to be. So now I have a button that is right where I’m used to clicking every time I want to change jobs, and I have to constantly stop myself from clicking it. Damn you, muscle memory.
