Every time you're firing your first two primary GCD attacks without ammo, it sure feels like RNG to me (which is rather often, considering you can't just have ammo up all the time). If anything you're playing the RNG more frequently than AST does, because at least with them their card draw is only every 30 seconds.

This. I've been levelling MCH at the same time as BRD because shared gear, and when you've got no ammo and the RNG gets disagreeable, I find myself doing this:

1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1.

Healer DPS is more interesting than that. It's frustrating as hell. Putting it on the shelf and never touching it again once the levelling is done.

You're aware the shots proc individually of each other right? 1 procs 2, 2 procs 3, but they don't need to be done in order. The shot combo isn't linear.

I do understand that the changes made to MCH don't do it justice at lower levels, as now that Gauss Barrel at 52 generates heat, but there's nothing to manage heat til 62, that seems like their eyes were only forward in creating the Stormblood MCH. Something I certainly hope is addressed either before the end of Stormblood, or certainly in the next expansion.

Yes, but IIRC the later ones do less damage than the first one if they're not procced, so if you do that and don't get a proc there either, it's even worse than spamming the first one. Could be wrong on that, I'm still slogging through it.

Yeah the heat thing makes no sense when you get it. "Hey, here's heat! It just goes up and you can't do anything about it, so please ignore it for 10 levels." You see that occasionally on some jobs during levelling, but this is the most egregious example I've found. I find it just painful to play sometimes compared to BRD at the same level.

No. Dark knights need to be fixed. Attempting to revamp the job into a damage dealer would make them even worse because there is no place for a two handed sword weilding damage dealer since samurai were released.

They could make Samurai into a tank!
