The limitations are only there for money making purposes. They do not care about us, only money. I know a few getting really close to quitting, long time players, because SE refuses to improve the game and charge us more for space.
They refuse to fix anything, after TWO FULL EXPANSIONS!!! while they just tell people "rent a 9th retainer". Sorry that is extremely shady, I hope SE has a huge sub drop off so they get a wake up call.
Also you are not understanding the dye limitations with this pre alpha system (what a joke) it is literally useless at this time. We deserve more after all this time.
I was storta having a negative view as they released notes how the system would work. Now I am stating with confidence, 4.2 has to be the worst update to this game. HEY lets go full circle and nerf pld to the ground and make war op because it makes sense!
The only good thing in 4.2 is housing, and tbh, this should been in the game long ago, HW release I suspect would have been a fitting time.

Fix that for you.
Don't bother trying to communicate with Sir K, you aren't going to get through to him. Irregardless if you are raising a valid concern or unreasonable demand, they are just going to mean the same thing to him (the later one). If you voice your opinion and/or make speculations about how something should work, he's going to question if you know how demanding it will be and if you're a developer/programmer. If you have the nerve to say that it shouldn't matter to you as a paying customer, SE should deliver the result regardless of the workload, he will question if you have a heart and care for the well being of the employees, which is fine, until on another thread he will disagree with others and say why should SE bother implementing certain features or QoL since they are a business organization and profit is their first and foremost concern anyway.
Stance aside, his responses are no different from the "gimme gimme" players that are constantly making unreasonable demands he seems to despite so much anyway. So once again, I say, don't bother trying to get through to him.
The company does not care about us. Very true. However they are interested in making money off of us. You cannot make money off someone who ceases to pay money. You already understand this as you are threatening to quit, flexing your buying dollar. It's in their best interest to keep as many of us happy as possible, or at least thinking we're happy anyway.
Anything? They've fixed NOTHING since 2.0? I am assuming you're using hyperbole but if you're not, then that's an outright lie. They've fixed lots. They have made changes, they've implemented systems to satisfy player concerns and added content where there used to be none.
4.2 is the "worst". .. Alright you're entitled to your opinion.
I'm quite surprised you're excited for housing though.. there's some shenanigans going on there you might wanna check into. I thought it was a great thing too till I saw what was happening.
I'm going to say this because it's bothering the heck out of me, English isn't your first language is it? Either that or you're not proofreading your posts and just letting spellcheck have its way, but I understand what you're saying.
The words you were looking for are: "Fixed" "Regardless" (I suppose it's debatable that irregardless is now an accepted word but you did use the correct one later, weird.) "Latter" and "Despise"
You can ignore my points all you like and decide to ignore me. I cannot force you to read anything.
But:
I ask you to consider the amount of work needed and you respond with "it doesn't matter, I pay money so I deserve whatever I want"
I explain possible constraints and reasons for why things are the way they are and you respond with "This game does it this way , SE should do that"
I use logic, knowledge and empathy and you respond with greed and entitlement and ignorance.
Who's "Gimme Gimme"?
No it's NOT horrible to ask for things you want, but it's lamentable you seem to think we simply don't have them because a company is lazy, greedy or stupid and have no further suggestions than "Make it like *Game*"
I suppose if both of you are going to maintain that mindset, no.. it really doesn't behoove either of us to try and convince the other. But I've got time and patience. As long as you keep responding or posting, so will I.
The only issue I have with the new glamour system is how items will be destroyed upon putting into the dresser. It's right there in the patch notes. Short of a bad patch note issue, which did happen before, it's pretty much set in stone. I don't see how we need to wait til the patch to go live before knowing how this particular part would work. You argument will work for say, the new WAR changes.
In fact, give me just one good reason on how destroying the gear to register it into the dresser is better or even necessity over something like, binding the item to the player (to prevent reselling) upon registering the appearance into the dresser. I'll yield if you can give just one good point which I can't counter-argue.
You got me there. I will admit the system seems clunky compared to equivalents in other games on the market. Perhaps they chose destroying gear to reduce the amount of profit made from desynthing, spiritbonding and converting into materia or trading into GC for seals after gear is bound (Which is a pretty awful reason, WoW wouldn't stop you from disenchanting gear after binding it and collecting the appearance).
I will preface this with this admission: Destroying the item bothers me. As long as the system is half implemented and there are items that cannot be glamoured with the dresser this will be a problem.
"destroying" The item is likely rendering it down to a flag of Model/skin/color. Something that our current system has a problem with and has been cited many times is the fact our inventory relies on the data for every item we're carrying be checked on constantly. This makes it so a large inventory plus many players on a server creates bandwidth problems. Reducing further data throughput by stripping ALL item data out of something and simply making it a check of "what does this look like?" creates wiggle room within a previously limited system.
Arguably they COULD reverse the process by saying you could "buyback" an item in the dresser if the glamour had one flag for item #1849798 to refer to and be granted when this theoretical process is used. Asking for this is understandable. Asking for the entire system to be scrapped and started over because of a particular branch of that feature seems overkill. The system can work, and I see potential. Hence why I argue the entire thing isn't useless, just incomplete.
"just wait till you have it right and don't waste our time!". Iteration is how successful systems are made. This system as it is, and as flawed as it is does not take anything away from us, it gives us an option. It reduces some inventory clutter and allows for a requested functionality to be implemented (multiple appearances for singular gear).
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
