Request: Ability to re-assign class levels after 1.20

OP acts as if because he needs to go cross-class to get to play the role he did before that the class somehow "doesn't exist anymore". It exists when you cross-class it.

Other than that the argument is nothing but baseless assumptions about cross-class effectiveness (or lack of it).

Except this one has gone back to what can be considered an alpha phase, and large parts of the game are being removed and replaced. You knew radical changes were happening, and you didn't prepare accordingly.

For the ten months prior to 1.18, THM was arguably the best healer in the game. Their role as a healer was diminished in 1.18, but THM is still a capable healer today. However, in 1.20, it has been revealed that THM will no longer have a native healing spell. Given that THM is also losing Siphon MP (while CNJ receives new MP regeneration abilities), it seems that THM will effectively be transformed into a nuke-only job.

Speaking for myself, I ranked up THM under the old mages-are-good-at-both-roles paradigm, with the intent of using THM as a healer. Now that THM is being transformed into a straight nuking job, I am disappointed to learn my healing class will not be able to heal any more.

I understand that the players voted for drastic changes in the survey. However, if such changes are going to be implemented, is it possible for the players to be able to reassign class levels to match up to the new vision of the game?

This isn't a simple issue of "ARC isn't good any more so I want to be MRD now"; there are always going to be shifts in the pecking order of DDs. This is more like removing ARC's DD abilities and replacing them with BRD songs (which is, notably, not what is planned for ARC/BRD). There's a huge difference between shifts in the effectiveness of a role and removing that role altogether.

now you'll be able to lvl con as whm which could be fun. many people are disappointed that they wont be able to lvl their jobs but you will be able to. Im gonna get lancer to 30 so that i can xp drg to 50 myself.

I'd prefer if they restored a percentage of my HP/MP, and a large percentage at that. As of now, they're pretty much a waste of space.

OP you might as well ask for them to just level all your classes to 50 for you.

Seriously, it's not hard to get to 50 nowadays. I think you're also neglecting that leveling a class from 1 to 50 isn't as simple as a talent respec in WoW. You don't have to relevel that character in WoW everytime you respec; you're just shuffling abilities around. Wanting to swap from one class to another requires you gaining the mastery of that other class, i.e. putting the time into leveling it as you've done the one you want to cast aside.

As someone who has leveled all battle classes for the specific reason of not getting hosed when updates come, and to avoid many other annoying things regarding actions, I say no to this. It would diminish the value of my hard work (and others like me).
