I think I will just stick to the current system. I don't like the idea of equipment being destroyed, especially since some of it can be very hard or tedious to replace.

Why would you want to keep anything you glamour? You don't need it for content anymore. It's just taking up inventory at this point. The issue with this though is the 200 glamour limit, but this should increase in future updates. Seasonal event glamours should excluded from the 200 limit because you can still put them in the armoire, so I would strongly suggest doing that. For everything else though, if it is glamour item, that is the extent of its worth to you, so feel free to glam away while keeping the 200 limit in mind.

At least give it try when 4.2 is released

To glamour retainers and the squadron, and also to glamour the jobs which aren't using the 10 outfits we're given. If we can't use the new system for all jobs then we still need those glamour items to be usable in the old glamour system.

I'm hoping we can use the old system with equipments that were turned into skins.

I just hope the eventual housing item doesn't require the "obscenely-expensive materials du-jour." At the very least, I hope they offer different tiered recipe options, like they do with the aquariums.

It might be expensive at first, like the unending journey and the armoire, but you can just ask someone to gather the materials for you, or gather them yourself.
