Sounds like they did not listen to any feedback =/ it is vague details leads me to believe they left it unnecessarily complex.

200 gear is not a glam log, I am in awe how out of touch they are really are from the user base. How come we do not get more development representation to talk to on these forums?

Pretty sure they did listen. They just know more about the game and what can be realistically done with it than a few armchair devs on the forums. Yoshi-P did say repeatedly that a glamour log is impossible. End of the freakin line.

I'd rather they take the time and bring everything up to speed with the standards of modern AAA MMOs than apply any more bandaids that only delay the inevitable.

And everyone who isn't obsessed with glamouring all their gear would just leave when the devs stop content development for half a year. Congratulations, you just killed the game.

I think I will just stick to the current system. I don't like the idea of equipment being destroyed, especially since some of it can be very hard or tedious to replace.

It was never stated that we were getting a glam log, nor does this new system try to pass as one. Also not sure how you can say they are not listening. That sounds like a rant from a kid who didn't get what he wanted for his birthday.

From the devs side of the table, I would imagine that they are well aware of the player base's desire for a glamour log, but they have technical constrictions that no one wants to hear about. They also know that the biggest problem with the current glamour system is players cannot give individual looks for all the jobs they play on a particular role without sacrificing stats from wearing inferior gear. So they could not give us a glamour log, yet. But at least for now the aforementioned issue will no longer be a problem 4.2 on onward. There are only 10 tabs as of right now, but between the current glamour system and the upcoming one, you should be able to give all combat classes a different look.

It's not what we ultimately want, but it's a damn good start. Stop seeing the glass half-empty.

I'd rather just be able to sacrifice all individual items I want to be saved in a wardrobe, so I can change and rearrange looks as I go. This seems to be over complicating for the sake of over complicating :/

Why would you want to keep anything you glamour? You don't need it for content anymore. It's just taking up inventory at this point. The issue with this though is the 200 glamour limit, but this should increase in future updates. Seasonal event glamours should excluded from the 200 limit because you can still put them in the armoire, so I would strongly suggest doing that. For everything else though, if it is glamour item, that is the extent of its worth to you, so feel free to glam away while keeping the 200 limit in mind.

At least give it try when 4.2 is released

Yeah, it's not like XIV survived a complete overhaul during which they built a second game while still updating and maintaining the first one.

Destroying the item would be okay if it was a glamour log, but not in an armoire 2.0, when you hit the (easily reachable, mind you) 200 items cap you'll have to permanently lose glamour appearances to make space.

Does anyone know if the dye you picked for a piece of gear will stay when it gets converted into glam? Just thought of this today.
