It is my understanding that Jobs in FFXIV is going to be limited to their skills and some skills from their main class associated, so I don't believe you will be able to have any "cure" type stuff equipped unless Lancer or Dragoon gets some kind of "cure skill" of their own. In this way, FFXIV is limiting the roles of jobs even more so than FFXI, because in FFXI you still had your subjob to work with. That won't be the case this time around.
