Give me FFT job system and remove classes completely !!! XDlike others have said, expect lots of classes to pretty much go away, at least for DoW...and everyone who sees ARC will go "get on BRD noobz, why just shoot when you can buff and shoot". MNK/WAR/DRG..and very likely PLD are going to be played 99% of the time over the classes, they already play their roles as it is (and will be more into those roles when the skills change anyways). almost makes you wonder why bother with the classes at all....might as well stick onion knight in there and let it be the skill mixer lol.
There is still Life Surge. Not the best heal skill, but it heals some HP.It is my understanding that Jobs in FFXIV is going to be limited to their skills and some skills from their main class associated, so I don't believe you will be able to have any "cure" type stuff equipped unless Lancer or Dragoon gets some kind of "cure skill" of their own.
What kind of sadistic linkshells do you people run with that won't allow you to come on a class/job you want to come on? I understand filling a certain role if it's super cereal...but damn.
There are many endgame linkshells in FFXI that have a stiff set of rules, and you pretty much follow orders as if you where in the army.
More like what kind of sadistic game designers makes encounter way easier for [insert class name here] rather than balancing them so all classes can participate. (off course while keeping a good balance between healers/dd/tank)
It's not about allowing people or not to come as a certain job, but about the feasibility of certain encounters with a said job.
I mean you take XI prior abyssea era, some encounters strategy relied heavily on BLMs, well it was either come as BLM or GTFO. Doesn't mean you cannot do it with another job but why bother when pressing 2 macros grant a 100% certain (and quick) victory?

Dragoon for me, I really like that currently LNC is a great DD. The idea that DRG is ment to be a critical powerhouse class sounds great.
Also I'll role WHM simply because its not a popular choice and imo you can win with crappy DPS but if your healers suck its game over.
