You do realize that many players have experienced this before, and likely know a lot more about what they are talking about than you. You keep on pressing this argument that you clearly don't understand.

Yet you're still here you do not have to be here nor with your kind of attitude.
This kind of attitude is spawned from you continually pushing something that you aren't understanding. Balmung needs to stay locked up for the time being until SE can update their infrastructure. I haven't personally experienced it, but I do personally know plenty of players who have experiences that occurred because of Balmung. Is it Balmung's fault all the time when Aether crashes? Absolutely not. But the fact that a single server can and has in the past crashed an entire datacentre should be enough to show why opening it up, even with this lull in players in between patches, is a bad idea at this point in time.
Say that SE does let just you into the server - and just you. Given the thread here, it won't be hard for other players who want to be on Balmung to find out - then they'll be clamoring for them to be let in for the exact same reasons. It's been a while since the thread was addressing that, but how is that fair if they only let you in, but not the many, many, many other players who've been asking to get in for months.

I've stated previously that I do not want just me in the locked servers I dont want there too be locked servers. I don't want others unable to play with their friends. Also your attitude spawned from your own self, every balmung post you're there with the same attitude. You also came into this forum post stating the obvious it's locked while providing nothing to the actual question of is their any info. Few have given sites, interviews etc things the post asked for you've done nothing but state the obvious. FFXIV servers itself aren't good not just Aether its the entire system it can barely handle a patch day without something going wrong let alone a dlc, finally again its not Balmung crashing the servers its everybody that signs in at the same time. The servers cant handle at mass the population the game has which is why people would like for better servers which is a logically and reasonable request from a company with millions and millions. This kind of attitude is spawned from you continually pushing something that you aren't understanding. That's nice, but unless you are willing to pay for upgrading everything so they can unlock servers and keep them that way.... then what you want or don't want is completely irrelevant to the situation.
What attitude is that? That I'm just telling it as it is? That I'm not sugarcoating anything? If I recall correctly when this thread first started, I did address what you said and directly spoke on what you were saying. Remember when you referenced other MMOs and I brought up how WoW locks servers themselves due to overcrowding? But sure...let's just go with every single comment I've posted in this thread had an attitude. That works for me. Now commenting on the rest of this post, sure, everybody would love to have better servers. Truth be told, a good number of us want a better engine, not the struggling holdover from 1.0 that we have right now. But to say that Balmung has never crashed Aether (and it seems you've been saying this for a few pages) in spite of more experienced players who have been here since Besaid and Fabul were separate servers and have experienced said crashes is thoughtless at best.
Ah, and how did I ever forget to comment on this part. Your thread is literally filled with posts suggesting what to do. From what I've seen here, it looks like it isn't that you and your friends aren't unable to play with each other - it's that you and your friends are unwilling to do something as simple as either a server transfer to Zalera or them making a new alt on Zalera. Last I checked, a standard sub nets you a total of 8 character slots per server. So what's the issue? Are your friends unwilling to make a new character to play with you? Or are they using an entry subscription...which still allows them to make one character per sever, and 8 on their account?
