Clearly an idiot? As in, there's no possible chance that the player could have been light farming the last time they used that job, hit their equip set, and forgot that it was on the Anima weapon? They are just clearly an idiot, no other alternatives?
Are we really that quick to jump to conclusions that a "Hey X, did you know you've got an i260 staff on right now?" is too much to ask for? Even if the answer was "Yeah, I'm trying for light.", a simple "Ah, yeah, but you can't gain light in SB dungeons, can you switch to a more level appropriate weapon?" could have fixed the issue.
This is, of course, assuming the player was not problematic. But that's the thing: We, and more importantly the user who spoke about the situation, will never know, because there was no communication. Frankly, I find the whole idea of "There's one little problem with that person's gear, I'm not even going to ask, screw this, I'm out" a more problematic mindset than the fact that the sub-par weapon was brought to the dungeon. The weapon issue can be clarified and potentially fixed. If fixing is refusal, leaving is an option. Leaving on the assumption that someone else is dumb, without checking? Well, that seems the like the less intelligent option, to me.

That junk aside, had a couple of decent runs this morning. Queued in to Leveling as DRK, hoping for something simple before bed. Get Aery. Hah, haven't done this in a month or two, never as tank. Works out great. SAM remembers dungeon, reminds us of specifics that I can't remember for the earlier bosses, healer works well despite being new to the fight as healer.
Then jump into the 50/60, the one full of dungeons I never did, or haven't done in ages. Get Haukke Hard. I can never remember where to go in the Manor ones, though Hard pretty straightforward, unlike normal. That hall pull seems a little hectic at first, but it went better than the last time I tanked it, and checking with party things were alright there.
The Aery had the healer telling me that they loved tanks like me, even though I don't remember doing anything but small pulls to feel the healer out/give them a nice ease into it, and the Manor they said it was a nice casual run, even though it was pretty quick since the DPS were pretty beastly at getting crap down fast. Nice to have a stress-free tank night after getting random ones with people trying to pull ahead a couple times earlier in the week.
