Yeah I have seen countless of these in PF myself. And when I join the ones who has forgotten to leave out BLM, I get removed, and when i update the PF list, VOILA the NO BLM is up

It's not that they can't. It's more of: the chance of a BLM player not letting you clear is higher than any other job.

It's not 3rd party's fault only. You'll oftenly find more BLM players lacking than anyone else. And when you don't know who is joining your party, why not clean up the chances of someone bad joining by locking that job? Good BLM players can mostly play other jobs anyways.

The problem for PFs is not that on 75th percentile+ BLM is 3rd or 4th on personal dps (and more than likely 8th on total dps contribution) if you have on a random PF a 75th percentile BLM he may as well be one of your best members even if the class is subpar, the problem is that at 10th percentile for example BLM has the second worst personal dps (only beating RDM which is invaluable on bad parties anyway) so if you are pugging you are much more likely to get a bad BLM than a good one and see your group dps sink, not to mention it is almost DRG level in terms of dying making it even more undesirable.

As for people blaming ACT, fflogs and data collection softwares in general, sorry but it's like shooting the messenger, the data collection softwares only expose the complete mess that is the current game balance, BLM is only one in a list of problems that includes, but is not limited to things like the most OP dps class in the game also being the only one capable of threat control (put Shadewalker on cross role please!!!!), DRG and NIN being so much better than their melee peers it is laughable, DRK being worse at everything than the other tanks with 0 redeeming qualities, the mess that is Disenbowel, 4 dps class (MNK, RDM, BLM and SAM) added together have almost 4 times less Ultimate clears than NIN and 3 times less than SMN, when the game is this poorly balanced you can't blame anyone but the devs and if this mess is not talked about in the LL tomorrow, I will start to lose faith.
