    If they wanted to nerf Cannons cuz of Mammets, then they would not decrease damage to Players/Warmachina from 6000 to 4000. Plus with range decrease, you don't need to bother yourself with Cannons if you're using an Opressor.

    Seems like they wanted a footsoldiers push(mammets+ healers) to be viable and Cannons to be worthless. It's already a pain to kill Mammets when 3+ healers heal them, pretty much impossible in most random group situations.

    TL;DR Opressor can now shoot freely, healers will now push with Mammets and it will be a pain to deal with, Brutes now even stronger in soloing/duo the Core.

    p.s. Good thing i got my mount 10 days ago, not sure that i like those changes in RW.
    I'l check CE respawn points, though.

    I think its good we have other methods defeat core than bringing opressor north blind spot. Way too many games take 20min because it is too easy defend core. It is already hard attack core after towers are down because every defeated tower bring opponents free brute justice.

    I don't think the new patch is about making it faster. The nerf is both against mammets and by cannons. Both offensive and defensive are nerfed. It's just about more tanks and healers now, they already OP enough to carry mammets across before (healing+damaging).

    I suspect that you may actually be wrong. Based on the various damage numbers, mammets and objects likely have a invisible status effects that are being checked when the various attacks hit them.

    3000-tonze Missile isn't a really 200,000 damage attack but a 2,000 damage attack that is multiplied by 100 due to the Towers' and Cores' invisible object buff/debuff.

    Spincrusher is a 600 damage attack multiplied by 10 for having a warmachina buff.

    The Steam Cannons were doing a 6k attack that was being reduced to 600 by the Mammets' invisible 90% warmachina damage resist. Adjusting Steam Cannon damage had fewer side effects than adjusting the mammet's buff for the survivablity increase they wanted.

    Offensives have not been nerfed. The mammet speed increase is going to change how fast the mammet frontlines move. It will take fewer mammet kills to get the mammets to the towers/core.

    I think the reason for the cannon nerfs and mammet speed increase is exactly this.

    If they are increasing CE tanks to be found (we shall see how plentiful and where) then not only do I see this as taking emphasis out of the generator room, but as encouraging more mechs to be active.

    If this means less full-20 minute matches with people turtling their core (and clearly losing), then I say give it a chance.

    That makes it even worse then, i.e. Mammets got a 90% damage resist from Cannons/Warmachina.
    They can't even use a separate values. /sigh

    Well, i guess it's about time for healers to push lanes with Mammets, instead of sitting @ mid.

    p.s. Mammets was pretty much alright for pushing the two towers, but they wanted them to push the Core too, i guess. (Mammets movement speed buff+overall cannon damage/range nerf)

    Why mammets could be healed to the point of sheer invulnerability is beyond me. It just keeps putting value to healers when they're already so potent in this mode.

    People are already "predicting" matches based on how many healers are present on the team:
    "We're going to lose this fight, too few healers."

    The extra CE spawn would been a start at making the strategy of sending 5+ healers to camp the generator less decisive to the overall outcome of a fight.

    But the changes to mammets and weakening of cannons? It'll be all about which side has more healers pushing mammets. And there really is no counter to a large mass of fast mammets with a horde of healers in tow...except for other mammets and healers.

    Matches will still be decided by which side has more healers. The side with less will prob just lose their mammet armies faster. I'm not even sure how much of a role mechs/piloting skills will have now.

    Brute Justice is even more important when your opponent got a Zerg of healers. However, i rarely can take it myself and most people still don't know how to use it and just suicide/whatever (or can't land shots aka aim problems).

    THIS is what alienates and makes the PvP community lose what faith they have in you, SE. Cannon range was already an issue, especially. . . no, why should I explain it? You wouldn't listen anyways.

    Between all the healer stacking and defeatist wannabe-PvPers, I guess I've got nothing I really want to do in game now.
