White Mage and Black Mage are not Soloing Classes.

I'm talking about Conjurer and Thaumaturge. They are Different.

ok your right i miss read that part.

i think its wrong to assume that a CNJ should have so many offensive spells when its now being designed to mainly buff/heal but i guess thats personal taste.

I don't specifically mean offensive spells. But it needs some kind of combat prowess, even if those abilities become locked when White Mage is equipped.

ok im gonna ask because i dont remember this being stated.
are all class abilities going to be locked in JOB form? or only some of them?
when they say class exclussive does that just mean for cross classing?

i ask because each JOB only has about 3 (give or take...1) abilities total. so that means your job will only be using 4-5 abilities yet classes can use so much more?
if so, Jobs sound quite shallow and boring if you dont have much to use.

My understanding is that most Cross class abilities will be locked in job form. I believe you get to keep your class abilities.

Wow you're wrong about almost literally everything! That's impressive!

I am a bit concerned about the capacity for PGL, CON, and THM to deal damage against opponents with strong elemental strengths/weaknesses, but on the other hand, different elements having different hats means that we'll have to adjust our strategies on a per-battle basis, which is interesting to me.

I can't even begin to comprehend why you'd rather have an Archer that is annoying and crappy rather than an Archer that is -not- annoying.

OH WAIT you're right about there not being enough enfeebling magic, they do need to take advantage of the opened-up design space they've enabled here and introduce a few new classes and jobs sooner than later. Well, I'd /like/ it if they did. But we have Sleepga, which is sort of the important one for a many vs. many situation, so...
