Prohibit the advertising of content sales via the cross-server PF

It would be easier to ignore if they were labeled correctly and at the bottom of the list like they should be I don't understand why people are so opposed to stuff being properly labeled, whats the point of having sort things by duty type when you have people that think they deserve to be seen more mislist their stuff to get to the top of the list? I don't get the push back on this, its one thing for someone to accidentally list something under the wrong category its another to see the same names everyday listing their clear selling under the same wrong listings, a block/hide all PFs from character feature like was suggested earlier would solve the problem.

Indeed many people I know do care and they don't want to post about it on the forum because they don't want to deal with the trolls.

Maybe on Aether, but on Chaos it's a different story. (bar the $1200 and acc. info, that's ridiculous flat out, but yes, let's generalize because of one sell group :3)

This whole thing would be solved by the first suggestion OP made: PF blacklist. Until then, people will continue to aegue whether or not people care about the spam and veiled threads about this issue will continue without cease.

problem with that is it can be defeated..much like RMT advertisers...randomly generated bots to just post parties...etc.
Yeah..I know....wet blanket....but people go to great lengths to get their monies.

I'm not opposed to this at all - that seems like a reasonable request.
But what was discussed here wasnt a feature to hide/block PFs you dont wanna see for yourself. The request was to prohibit a specific type of PFs and make them a banable offence.
I'd support your request for better hiding/blacklisting PFs in a heartbeat, so that you and everyone else can pick who's PF they want to see - but not creating the potential to ban people over a wrongfully listed PF

Yep, the ability to right click blist from the main PF window is likely the right approach to this really. Definitely a more sensible way to deal with it than throwing more fluff into the ToS that no one's going to read until it's too late.

I ask if they can request the advertisers to uncheck the option that has the listings being shown across the data center.
GM: "No I can not"
GM: "Players are allowed to do this and it would be interruption of their game play if I were to make them stop."
Me: Even though it's across the data center? (paraphrased)
GM: "That's correct."

This is probably the unfortunate answer to it. Being nice and not interrupting 1 persons game play by asking them to change a PF listing > dealing with possibly several player complaints about it. There could be a PF listing about limp sexual organs and the GM would say "I have what I need to move this investigation..." and then allow the PF to run out it's entire allotted time of anadditional 40 minutes. I only use that as an example because it's actually happened. Whether it's apathy, SE policy, or simply the GMs not having enough tools, only they can say.

Of course we as players are absolutely allowed to interrupt each others game play by asking for PF details to be changed
