Again that's what the player polls are for, so SE can get an idea about what people want to see done.

Only in a perfect world would they be able to make it so FFXIV appeals to everyone, that's very wishful thinking. So in order to maintain the game, and actually make money of of it they have to appease a broader audience.

It's just not possible to please everyone, some will get alienated, maybe even I will be part of the alienated group.

My advice: wait for the polls, vote how you feel and even if the majority beats you in numbers, be glad that you tried and just move on.

i did vote in the polls and did vote for major changes, but my idea of major changes differs from you idea of major changes. that's why people were saying the questions were too vague and there are worries of what the developers took as major changes. it has even been mentioned in this very thread of turning this game into wow with a ff name on it. just because we voted yes we want change does not mean everyones opinions of change is the same. when they create polls they need to be more specific on the types of changes they wish to initiate so people can vote on the specifics not generalized questions.
