Why is Lyse's outfit not dyeable?

SE clearly hates money that is why!

All jokes aside they properly feel these sets net them enough profit and putting in the extra work no matter how trivial will not yield much of a gain profit wise, so they do not bother. That is just a guess though.

I feel like being able to dye NPC clothes has been the #1 complaint since they started showing up in the Mogstation (being overpriced doesn't belong to the dev team, afaik).

If it was able to be dyed, like most of the Veteran outfits and Mog dresses, it would have been a day-1-purchase for me.

It would be nice yes if they added dye options for all of the official npc attire that has been released.

I like this jacket so much. I'm hoping that "rework to glamours" also addresses these problems, such as multi-slot color dyeing.
On a side note I can't figure out which boots to glamour on my PLD with it. On bard I'm using the Saurian boots of aiming. but thanks to lovely class restrictions on glamour that's a no no for Tanks

Ugh. This strikes me as wrong.

I get there is a concern for for authenticity; but, it does not break my immersion to see characters wearing the Lyse's outfit in different colors. That's because few if any of those players will be cosplaying Lyse, and if they were, so what?

People change clothes you, you know. It's an everyday occurrence.

So, I agree with you all that this outfit should be dyeable.

That they're in the process of redoing the glamor system with stuff like multiple dye areas etc. and that there's no point in doing the work to make them normal dyeable if they're just updating them to the new system in the next patch...

Hahaha, that's true. I'd have bought Minfilia and Lyse's outfits if they were dyeable. I'm not fond of the feeling that my character is "cosplaying" any NPC, I want to create my own unique outfits. So I didn't buy either of them.

Exactly my feelings on the matter. Whenever I see an NPC with an interesting set, my first thought is never "wow I want their clothes to dress up like them!", it's "wow I want that outfit/I wonder how this part of the outfit would look with x piece of clothing we have/that is my character's aesthetic if it'd be a different color". Take Yotsuyu's kimono for example: I want it just as badly as anyone else, but what I really want when/if we get it? To be able to DYE IT WHITE SO IT FITS MY CHARACTER. ;A; But the sad reality is, it won't be dyeable - but boy will they charge a whole lot for it despite that, especially if it comes with her hairstyle! (which female model Au Ra get for free anyway, kek)

I'm getting a bit tired of it.

Even if it took a little longer to get outfits out, if it meant they'd be dyeable when they come along to the kupo store, I would be fine with the wait. We aren't starving for cash shop items here, SE. And there are plenty of KR/CN region locked sets people are clamoring for that you could use to fill any gaps created by taking just a little extra development time to make sets dyeable (and unisex, but that's a different matter altogether). If you're going to charge us an additional sub price for them and not even make them account bound, this is the least you could do. :c
