    I said it before, but people REALLY overfocus mid.

    Had a match yesterday where I and a few others on foot nearly took down the south tower, then I personally tore through a good 4 or 5 Chasers and 3 Oppressors myself (and several enemies on foot, I wasn't counting them), literally halting any attempts at a south push. . . all the while they complained and struggled to never actually take back mid.

    Sure some might say "if you can do all that, why didn't you help mid?" Had I done that, those south push attempts would've been successful. And while it's tougher, a counteroffensive strategy is to basically hunt enemy mechs and waste their CE. If for some reason you can't retake mid, aggressively make them waste that resource. Keep em busy and get a push or your own down the other lane or sneak something through.

    Mid IS important. But capturing and holding it is STILL no guarantee of victory. If they push and you don't push back, the status of mid means nothing.

    People can't focus one target most of the time.
    So they "fight" there for 15 minutes or so.

    Speaking of Rival Wings, there's an instance when i wanted to call PVP in FF XIV "a garbage".

    Right now this seems like a good tactic: instead of fighting in mid, you just spam and capture the Generator,i.e. 10 people will not fight you, but will spam "Interact", while healers heal them.

    This is possible due to how dumb PVP is now and we don't have our short CD - AoE abilites, like in HW.

    I can see that not a lot of effort been put in this mode, at least gives one spammable AoE ability to prevent facepalm instances like this one.

    One Mage/Warlock/almost anyone in World of Warcraft can completely prevent stupid situations like this. (aka 20 people can't jump and check a point like zerg, you need to deal with people around first)

    Maybe some people wrongly think that holding mid for the longest time is how you win this mode. Hard to know what some people are thinking, assuming they're not bots/afk. Had a match that was down to the wire, we ended up behind by just 1% on core dmg. I was pleading for people to rush the core and do some chip dmg to seal the win but hardly anyone went which made us easy prey. In those crucial final moments, some people were still attempting to capture the generator when it couldn't possibly make a difference any more. They'll never know how close they were to winning. It's like in shatter when people are still focusing ice even though another team is moments from winning and we desperately need to ko them and take their base to prevent the match ending, but some people stay on small ice farming that either won't be enough to help us catch up or won't even shatter before the match ends if we don't pressure the leading team @.@.

    It seems like the the team on the right side of the map always reaches mid first. You can activate the generator before the other team even makes it through the door.

    My main concern about this mode is what happens when the bot program is updated to support it. You know that SE won't do shit about it.

    Yeah I have about 30 wins so far today and most of them are from starting on the Raven side and a vast majority of the time we get the gen first.

    So I wanted some opinions, do you all think the sweet spot for the Opps to launch at the core is intended design or an oversight? Do y'all consider this fair or a bad concept/result?

    I don't think it's fair. An oppressor attacking a base should involve alliance teamwork of keeping the enemy base steam cannons under control.

    It really is silly that the Oppressors don't even need to get within range of the cannons to fire upon it from the north, whereas it's unlikely they'll ever even make it within range of the core if they try to come from the south.

    Easiest fix for that sweet spot would be to throw pile of rocks on top it so you cannot go there, sure its just a temp fix but they could properly modify that part of map in later patch.
