More Tail and Ear Options for Miqo'te

More options for all the races would be greatly apperciated but ( someone correct me if im wrong ) I recall yoshi saying recently in an interview they have absoluetly zero plans now or in the future to add ANY more creation options to the races.

I really don't get this, considering their business model with Fantasias. All they would have to do to get a shit ton more Fantasia sales is add a new eye shape, or chin, or what have you every couple of months.

That's cuz they can't be asked to design things for all races. If they could, they would have only Hyur Males and Miqote Females (Like how it was with Phase 1 of the Beta.). If it requires work, they simply won't do it.

Er.. are you implying they're lazy and that's why we don't a particular very specific thing? Because.. I'm gonna disagree there. They work pretty hard to provide new things and gear designs, even if we don't like them , they're there.

I'm pretty sure the reason we wouldn't get more customization options is more of a technical limitations stance, as in that's one more variable for , theoretically, every single character on the server to load/add to the data bandwidth every time they walk into an area.

Nope, I don't think they're lazy. They don't have their priorities in the right place. Instead of fixing issues that have plaqued us since 2.0, they chose to ignore it. If something they feel will take time, they will dismiss it. How can everything be a server limitation? How could they add all these duties just fine and it not cause a limitations whatsoever? How can they add all these plots and it not cause a limitation whatsoever? How can add hair just fine and not cause a limitation whatsoever? How can they fix our glamour issue (Which I'm terrified to see how they will implement it) all of a sudden? The limitation is just nonsense at this point. They only choose to fix things when it doesn't cut into the time frame they have setup for what they wanna setup. This is why when they say they can't do it, I don't believe them. Management also doesn't help when they strip funds from XIV to fund their other projects, which is annoying. It just tells me that they have no care for the game and won't miss it if it fails.

All valid questions. I can guess at a couple. Everything is limitations since this is built on the shaky poop-pile that was 1.0. Everything they add is a another straw on the pile riding on the poor hamsters that power our worlds. Bit by bit they pile the straw on till something breaks or gives then they back off, buff up the hamster a little and continue. Adding hair is one more thing for the server to load, but it's the same thing for every character. Usually the same hairstyle scaled to whatever is wearing it (barring that hideous meatball stuck on the side of the head thing they did with the ox-horns). Adding figure sliders to our characters? Now we have options 1-10 for every character that create exponentially more data back and forth the more people use different options.

I don't think the glamour and plot fixes are sudden. I think they've known these have been issues for a very long time and are finally getting around to (or possibly getting the greenlight to spend money) fixing it. Someone had to be paid for the time to conceptualize, test, implement and integrate these fixes. I will refrain from singing their praises till i see what their "fix" is. It could be equally as bad as what we had before. But they're doing it. That doesn't give you just a little hope?
