Petition to Lift Balmung Server Lock / Impact of Server Lock on FFXIV RP Community

I was on Balmung when SB launched. I remember the queues. Unless the population of Balmung falls in line with the likes of Cactuar and Levi I say leave it locked for good . . . Take control of your situation and stop whining about your problems, fix them.

See response to fallacious argument 1. Many servers that actually have healthy communities where people play were complete clusters when SB launched. Again, I don't expect individuals who have limited knowledge about the RP community to understand the importance of centralized roleplay hub, and why fragmenting the community across multiple servers is not feasible or desirable in the long-term.

By your logic, let's just close down this entire forum, as any and every argument could be considered "whining" and people should "fix [their problems]." Great, innovative suggestion.

No, a constructive argument for a change or discussion about a topic relavent to the game is always great to see on here. You haven't done that though, you're just annoyed that SE hasn't given in to the screeching of tons of Balmung players and deciding to spread your annoyance with more screeching.


Clearly that hasn't worked yet, maybe it's time to try something else like doing something about your issue.

I'm a WHM main. If I find an issue in their kit or have an idea about how to improve them my only recourse is to express those thoughts on the OF or elsewhere. I can't fix those problems myself. The difference between that sort of discussion and your petulant rant thread is that you have 100% control over your situation and could remedy it at any time. Instead of taking any of the options available to you thought you choose to stomp your feet and cry about how you want this specific solution to your problem.

I'll have sympathy for you when things like huge gil transfer bumps, housing reimbursement, other worlds with bustling RP communities and free transfers aren't on the table. Since they are though I will maintain that you should suck it up and make a choice.
