The amount of blind, uncritical deference to baseless representations made by SE regarding the supposed "excessive population" levels on Balmung is both disturbing and sad.

There is no evidence at the present time of any population problems on Balmung. The crux of the argument for keeping SE locked assumes their undisclosed opinions regarding server stability are valid, and refuses to consider any critical assessment of their business decisions. The argument amounts to little more than the following tautological nonsense: "the server is locked because SE says its locked and SE is right because it says its right." This is not valid reasoning or the basis of any respectable opinion.

The hostility of disinterested members of the community towards opening the server is also disheartening. It's almost like certain people have nothing better to do than post baseless, circular arguments on the internet, and simply cannot understand the concept of voicing valid and reasonable opinions. As opposed to you constantly saying 'Please refer to fallacious argument 1...', and yet, the only solution that you apparently continue to come up with is unlocking the server. You keep saying that there's no evidence, but you yourself don't even know what the server numbers actually are. Only Square knows that, and as a business, if they feel that server population is too high to allow any further characters to come in, then it's their right to keep it locked. And please don't quote a third-party census site...is it helpful? Yes. But it is not an official site that is sponsored by Square, so you can hardly use that as your basis.

Nobody has been hostile with you. Mocking, yes. But nobody here is hostile...not myself, not any of the other members thus far that have posted here. And to be fair, plenty of reasonable, acceptable opinions have been posted. Even other Balmung players have agreed with some of what you posted - it's just that you're coming here, posting an essay, and shooting down any reasonable comments that do not line up perfectly with your opinion. That's called riding your high horse, buddy.
