Hopes for the 4.2 Glamour System Revisions

I liked transmog in WoW.

Basically, you get a new item and you unlocked it in your transmog collection, you can then toss the item away.
There's a transmog vender in the city and you can just select whatever appearance you want on what slots (if you have said appearance unlocked ofc).
Also you could save sets.

System like that would be nice and solve the inventory chizzle.

It does kind of suck for leveling, though, as your transmog is undone about 6 times per level unless dungeon-grinding and unlucky in doing so. I've heard plenty of players in the WoW forums, too, begging for to-slot, rather than to-item, transmogrification mostly for that reason.

And that really should not be the case given that there are still significant disadvantages for playing all jobs on one character and this game invites at least a slightly higher than normal percentage of role-players, who would then basically need those extra characters to provide the variance of created perspectives or personas they're looking for. And yet I'm very hard pressed to think of game that is both as alt-unfriendly and all-in-one-unfriendly, especially given this game's massive inventory toll, as XIV.
