Hopes for the 4.2 Glamour System Revisions

They need to add a wardrobe system that after you have looted a piece of gear, the template is immediately saved to your character indefinitely and you can discard/sell the piece of gear you just looted if you don't need to equip it. There are already quite a few F2P mmos on the market that already have this type of transmog/glamour/cosmetic system, there isn't any reason for FFXIV not to implement something similiar. This would massively alleviate many many MANY inventory and storage issues. It's really gotten out of hand with all the new glamour items and outfits that came with the new expansion and it's only going to get worse as time goes on. Please do this.

Dye channels for sure. I've come across too many items that I'd love to wear, but for the restricted dye area. Brown leather with colored highlights is still Brown leather. I know I hope with poor chances...

If we do get a glamour log, I do hope it is more than just a glorified list. Some sort of organised UI layout would also be welcome. Perhaps some sort of collection or set completion incentive, even if it is a shiny check mark for completing a set. An extra incentive, for completing a set, would also be an interesting idea.

Oh, and hints to where to obtain set pieces, similar to the Orchestrion List hints, would be helpful.

Alt friendly features would be nice too.

Hopefully the new glamour makes the gear fit the races like the race gear does and not fit the miqo'te body they use for everything.

It's not like they've made a single low-hanging chestpiece that fits Miqo'te either, unless my cat butt grows fourfold and takes on a conical shape beneath said shirt or robe when and only when covered... and I apparently grow something to hold up that front-side poof...

I want an account wide glamour log but I don’t think it will happen since past features are very alt unfriendly

They dashed any hopes of alts sharing anything when they changed vet rewards to per character calculated

I liked transmog in WoW.

Basically, you get a new item and you unlocked it in your transmog collection, you can then toss the item away.
There's a transmog vender in the city and you can just select whatever appearance you want on what slots (if you have said appearance unlocked ofc).
Also you could save sets.

System like that would be nice and solve the inventory chizzle.

As much as I would welcome the addition of a glamour log, I hope it doesn't become the only way to glamour something. Reason being that I have a lot of standard pieces that I keep handy for making glamours and some of them are dyed rare and/or expensive colours. Ideally the glamour log can handle this too (consume a dye for a specific item to unlock that colour for that item in the log forever maybe?) but if not, I will want to keep those actual items around.
