This is my issue with people grinding mounts in unsynced. It completely makes all your raid gear irrelevant when unsynced comes around, there is no bragging rights, so there is no point to do content when it comes out, just wait till you can unsync and get your things with less annoyance.

But you can only run something unsynced when the next expansion hits, which means you're about 10 levels higher and your gear is at least 100 ilvls higher, two things that kind of matter even when you're synced down to level. But by then the weapons are already irrelevant because it's not your on-level gear - and that's before the fact that with the exception of the very final content tier of the expansion, raid gear becomes outdated within its expansion so that point is moot to begin with. By the time you can unsync this, anyone who ran the content when it was relevant has had several months at least to enjoy bragging rights, running around on their mounts with their glamour weapons, flaunting off their bragging rights, and the clock is already ticking for the UCOB's World First party. Who cares if I'll clear it too once 5.0 hits? Who'll even remember this content by then?

For the same reason people level some of their alts at the beginning of an expansion instead of waiting for exp increases and more efficient ways to level. Because they don't want to wait.
