Another possible idea is to limit the number of houses to 1 per account and in order to buy additional houses you would have to buy an additional housing permit per new house from the Mogstation. Treat it as a proper limited resource like with retainers. You want the privilege of owning more than one to yourself? you gotta pay extra for it. It gives more money to SE from players who are quite happy in owning more than one house for their own personal use, it doesn't affect players who already own a single plot to themselves, and it discourages purchasing of multiple houses by people who just want to resell them for profit.

They all ready do that. Its called the Account option #2 where you can have up to 8 Characters as opposed to account option #1 where you are only allowed 1 Character.....

You didn't read my post properly, I was talking about adding a new option for buying additional house plots, not the already existing purchase extra retainer option. I only referred to it in that context as to make additional house plots a scarce resource like they already did with retainers.

Oh i read it. I was just saying in order to own more then 1 house you all ready have to pay extra..If you have the basic account you can only own 1 house, cause you only get 1 character. you have to pay extra to have 8 characters in order to own more houses.

The main problem is the supply. people really should get off this so n so owns more then 1 and get on the WTF SE you have 7500 active players on a server and only 2,880 houses thats not even counting Fcs, (keep in mind your active character counts count all 8 of my characters). SE needs to "Man Up" and realse a crap ton more houses no more excuses they have the money.

Seems to me the flippers should be getting alot more hate then the rp people who own multi houses. Flippers are easy to kill make a annoucment stated in 4.2 houses once the land is released will go on a random timer between 1-7 days before the land is put back on the market......watch the house flippers lose there mind and the reddit post happen in tons with prices droping every day till patch.....Like ive been saying if flippers can not guarantee the seller would get the house..No one would buy from them....

To me this is a crazy and a broken system I mean Bismark has what 12k playerbase? that's 96k houses needed and that's just for each person to have 1 house, if we start adding in that each person can have 1 fc house and 1 personal, we are now talking 120,000 houses by your example and 192k for Bismark. Yet you cant see that this system is broken.....

The system needs changing so that each player can have 1 house and 1 FC house per account that can be shared by all alts. Oh and BTW this is coming from someone with 1 account and 3 alts.

Nothing going to happen to current system. Let's face it they not going to make a groundbreaking tableflip on the house system.
I'll still have my 3 houses (FC+2 personal on alt and main).

Even if they did change it they would to reconpensate us who own more than 1 house and who judge how much time and money i've spend to decorate them

They would likely give you gil and let you keep the furnishings, just as if the houses had been demoed. Would it be unpopular, sure, just like the timer. But it is an easy way to make the houses they have cover more accounts. That's why it is likely something we will see happen. A bandaid, not a cure.

If they used an instanced housing system, this wouldn't be an issue at all.

yup its the system they went with..they should have to supply the amount of houses needed. oh and you cant go off your theres 12k players on a server cause all the census count logins meaning your 12k counts alts to so your counting them twice in your math problem. If they wanna change there system so be it ill follow the rules as ive stated many times.

But i also stick with its wrong to punish people who followed your rules for years just because now that you have moved people all over its not fair to them. Robbing peter to pay paul is never a good option..Se needs to man up and buy more servers if there gonna keep this ward stuff going or do as many many many people have suggested and do wards/instances
