Alright...I think I'm fully caught up. I hope. This was the first patch in the cycle...maybe the dev team does have more content coming, it just isn't available yet. We don't know what the devs have up their sleeve and to say that you are being lied to this early in the patch cycle is extremely premature at best. We only know about Eureka and probably Anata beast tribe quests in 4.2. We don't know what's in 4.3 or 4.4, or 4.5 if that is coming. As far as your thoughts on Ultimate, I still don't see what the issue is. Why is it such an issue that the hardcore players get ONE raid catered specifically for them. They've been asking for hard content for a long time. So what's the problem?

Every one keeps sayin because so many people wanted it, if you look on floggs like I mention earlier in this thread the drop off from v1s to neo exdeath is pretty huge. By several thousand, this is harder than neo exdeath could be hardest raid in the game thus far who knows.
So just based on numbers for what reason was this implemented, I even went as far back to go and look at an old census its not 100 percent proof of course

But the hardest to tiers have the least clears of course and the numbers are pretty poor.
The highest clear rates is creator but thats when all these so called hard core people claim content got watered down and easy. But as a company why would a company want less access to their content and want fewer people completing it. So its really more so not that I dislike ultimate, I dislike the patch its more so comments from others in the forums claiming so many people wanted this when in reality most people arent even done with omega. And out of those whom have cleared neo exdeath its not even enough to really be considered alot of people so my argument really is with those whom are inflating numbers and using words like alot and so many and us hardcore like its just a ton of people like that.

And we dont need SE listening to people like this one this is subjective and thats difficulty, instead of listening to people SE should go based off of what is best of the game and thats stuff like creator, omega, not gordias whoever u spell it and stuff like ultimate where most people barely even stand a chance.

In the context of Ultimate, I am referring to the hardcores as those currently in the world race. Yes, this patch was pretty empty. But it's one patch. There's no need for folks to be all up in arms for content that is clearly catered towards hardcore players who wanted a challenge. Sometimes those guys have to be pleased too, because, as seen from the world race, it's fair to say that it's something that hasn't flopped or failed. If 4.2 is as bare as 4.1, then yeah, by all means, go ahead and start making some noise about this. Let the hardcores have their hard content, and those among us who will not or cannot do Ultimate, just be patient until February. Like I said before, nobody knows what exactly 4.2 is bringing just yet, aside from Eureka and Anata.

    Are you really that dense?

They eased up on "savage" difficulty to appease the larger playerbase.

They then added a special hardcore fight to appease the hardcore crowd.

They did exactly what you suggest, in fact, by changing core content around what's popular and adding a separate challenge for those who want something more difficult.

Far more people TRIED to clear than actually cleared. The work, practice, memorization, team meetings, and social networking that goes into every actual clear went a very long way towards keeping the game active. A good chunk of people will at least try to learn the rotations, stat weights, melds, and food that goes into successful clears even if they aren't actually planning to run it themselves and that keeps the game active.

It's like the 200 PotD run. There were far, far more failed clears then people who got to take a picture on the bench at the bottom. Every attempt, every grind to get your weapon and armor maxed, people coming up with tactics for getting past chimeras, keeps the game active.

Sometimes the horse never gets the carrot on the stick before it goes bad or loses interest, but the walk leading to that point would have been much shorter without it.
