For me it's the 1.19 dated gear nightmare all over again. I thought that there wouldn't be much change to gears until jobs introduction. Seemed quite logic. Yet SE managed to do otherwise.
Screwing with gears like that 2 times in 2 months it's a bit too much, imo.
Except this was a change that was demanded by the players. The current dye system sucks and is stupid, this new dye system is awesome and sexy.
I'm just glad I can dye gear whatever color I want (from the given colors). For gatherers especially, in 1.19 this was a mess. For the 30 range I was wearing red, green and yellow gear, frankly it was ridiculous.
I can imagine you lost many a good nights sleep over this o.O
Question: Do we still risk making an HQ item NQ through dying? If so, how does everyone feel about that?
Part of me says: "Realism! Easy to screw up something trying to dye it" other part says "Boooo, I just want to cuddle and hug my new +3 gear, now in purple"
Edit: Hmm, after staring at the charts and *'s again I'm leaning toward dyeing being pretty passive and not affecting quality.

Yea I really hope the new dying system doesn't even open the synthesis box, why can't I just select a dye and add it to an item "like ever other mmo out there"
In 2.0 dying should be as easy as right clicking a dye and adding it to an item.
A few questions:
What is going to be the catalyst to add attributes to finished items, it seems like its not going to me materia, since there is a full synth required.
Are we ever going to be able to "bleach" gear to remove the dye?
F*** yeah, green apples!
