A few questions:
What is going to be the catalyst to add attributes to finished items, it seems like its not going to me materia, since there is a full synth required.
Are we ever going to be able to "bleach" gear to remove the dye?

F*** yeah, green apples!

I don't think thats possible, you either make a non-enhanced item with a colour, or a enhanced item during the synthesis process. (at least until 2.0)
What I wana know is the enhancment caused by adding a dye during the synthesis process ? or is it a seperate item, can I make:-
A green robe with + magic att
A red robe with + magic att
or are they still defined by the dye which you are using ?
What if I want a Purple felt robe with + magic att ? or do I just have to settle with the choice of:-
A Red felt robe + magic att
or
A purple felt robe with no enhancment.
Personally I think they should have just made all items standard non-enhanced and dyable to any colour and left the stat allocation to materia, they are making this dye system way more complicated than it needs to be and more importantly how many items will this create from a database point of view ? (remember Yoshi-p said he wanted to add 24-32 different colours eventually)

Assuming that the whole point is for players to choose what color they want to wear, gear stats won't be defined by color anymore. So the synth will go:I don't think thats possible, you either make a non-enhanced item with a colour, or a enhanced item during the synthesis process. (at least until 2.0)

Regular robe synth (no color) -> +etc stat robe synth (no color) -> add color so you can pimp
As far as I can tell there won't be any color restrictions, so you can have your cake and eat it too, so to speak.

That would be interesting, but think of the combination on the AH for a moment o.oAssuming that the whole point is for players to choose what color they want to wear, gear stats won't be defined by color anymore. So the synth will go:

Say there are 6 different stat robes, mnd, int, magic att, healing, pie & MP, now each one of those can be died 24 different colours. 144 different database entries + 24 robes with no stat but just different colour.
That's 168 possible variations on the AH and not even taking into account the materia system.
I just hope they have a robust naming system set up so that I can type Astute Felt Robe and it will bring back all the colour/materia combinations for that type of robe, its still guna be a lot to search through.

you are describing the current system, the new system is fixing that Im guessing this is how it goes: you create the base item you can then take said item and dye it or you can add extra materials to create an enhanced item which then you take the enhanced item and dye it.I don't think thats possible, you either make a non-enhanced item with a colour, or a enhanced item during the synthesis process. Oh ok if thats how it works thats not so bad.you are describing the current system, the new system is fixing that Im guessing this is how it goes: you create the base item you can then take said item and dye it or you can add extra materials to create an enhanced item which then you take the enhanced item and dye it.
The search function for the marketward should be in 1.20 according to what yoshi-p said, hopefully its half decent and allows us to search by level, class and type aswell as text.
