Sandpark, just send you and your babe as a duo to one shot Shiva as an unsynced party. Shiva can be soloed at this point, two is more than enough- as a matter of fact, me and a friend went in to grab the shiva gun since my friend never got it, and in the attempt of getting that gun the Boreas mount whistle must have dropped at least six times. If one of you goes as a tank or healer it'll make the run smoother. Good luck!

Maybe I've just been an MMO junky for too long, but as frustrating as it can be...I don't see this as an issue.

I feel like the only person who likes to run Rabanastre just because it's fun. ^^;; Admittedly, a surplus of Savage tokens makes me less worried about the 330 gear than others, but still, I wouldn't do it if I didn't enjoy it, even for loot. I think the resultant clown fiesta on Hashmal and the last boss are charming in their own way.

Also, I find the place very fun so I don't mind farming it every week for my drop...so no, you're not the only person. lol

My only complain is that, as a card collector, the cards only drop once and it's alliance wide.

I'm in the same boat. I'm running it for the cards. Which winning requires at least a 97 on average. I feel that these seem worse because you get to see yourself loosing the lot, rather then the invisible roll for a card to drop in other content. I try to think of not winning as equal to a 'no drop' on other runs. Eventually I'll pull winning lots.

I do enjoy running the raid. I like seeing how I'm improving with practice and how my deaths are happening less and less. And it gives me a game goal to work on casually.

The only thing that I'd change with the cards is that they could also randomly drop into inventory on win like in other dungeons in addition to being in the chests for lot. That would probably produce them in about the same timeframe as lot winning, but also add that extra 'hope' that you might get lucky on a run too.

The less gears you want from a 24 man raid the more runs you have to do to get the gear you want.
Prepare a list of gear you want for at least 2 jobs.

Alternative can be a token system that don't break the "1 gear each week" rule and make sure that players still run it more than one time each week.
Maybe need 14 tokens, can only earn 2 tokens each day and winning a roll will remove 14 tokens from the currency list.

Another week farming the place everyday and another week without having any loot for my main job before reset... There IS a REAL problem with loot in this patch.

Does this still work on primals?
My babe been wanting shiva mount but never gets lucky on the dice roll. Is there still tradable tokens to get it guaranteed eventually. If so what are the tokens called? Or are you talking about the fate ones like Odin and Ixion only?

It does, but only Heavensward primals. They never went back and added tokens for ARR ponies.

It's the difference between having a goal to work towards and playing the lottery every single day.

The issue becomes they still have to make the token cost considerably high and/or implement a system which removes all of them from your inventory each week to prevent farming. Basically, they want you constantly queuing. Not everyone will, of course, but considering the 24 man raids have always been active when relevant, it seems to work.

I enjoy running it, mostly because I know there are things that I still mess up in there and can better learn to react to.

Its really simple. They need to make it so you can get 1 item from each boss to turn in for gear and make it so only x amount drop. Then you need to run multiple times to get all 4 and it should be easier than trying to get the one item to drop.

I don't care what people say... If you run the same duty 15+ times in a week and not a single healer item drops there's something wrong with the looting system. I'm not even talking about losing rolls, there just are no drops. Meanwhile I've had runs where the tank chestpiece drops 2 times from the same boss at the same time. Basically you don't want to be a ranged dps or a healer cause tank gear and melee dps gear is the only thing that drops in this raid.
