Inventory issues still exist. Why keep adding gear to the game and not room? Glam log

That is such a ridiculous system. It's worse than the armoire....some generic, unadvertised, unintuitive, nonsensical out of the way place you can pay money to repurchase stuff you forgot you owned. That is why they need to overhaul the glam system and get a modern glam log. Sure it would help inventory to get the stuff out of there, but it's a serious quality of life issue when you have to dig through multiple retainers, chests, and random NPCs to find a pair of boots.

lol, I hear ya. Their use of NPCs and menus and storage is horrible. An armoire that can store some special event items and some AF, but not all. Then you have a calamity salvager which can sell you a lot of your event items, some AF, but not all. Then you have random NPCs scattered in a bunch of various cities who each sell very specific tomes/token gear each with about 6 different menus to sort through. Good luck finding the right NPC/menu on your first try. Also, WTB a "back/return" button. Like many things in this game, it's overly complicated and convoluted.

Everyone would appreciate a glam log, but at least we have the salvager until such a day where it gets added. So I wouldn't complain about it to be honest... It's better than nothing.

Yes, I do agree that having an option is a good thing and I do appreciate them for what's it worth. However, this shouldn't stop us from pushing to request for a better solution. Here's hoping it would arrive sooner than later. /pray

Back on topic, OP and the other group should hakuna matata a little. I understand that you're trying to make your point but this is turning into simply throwing insults at one another. Can we just drop everything and agree that having a fully functional major QoL upgrades (like glamour log, tackle box, gardening box, etc) would benefit most, if not all players irregardless if they are experiencing any inventory management issues?

Only the first sentence you quoted was a respond to you, the later half was just a wish on my end. It's more of a general statement of why we are pushing for it and not meant to be directed towards you personally. I do apologies if it came out wrongly. Like Skivvy mentioned, the whole thing is quite messy at the moment, I'd be happy for a "cleaner" solution asap. Not that I'm rushing them, mind you, just saying. (I rather they take some time to get it right the first time instead of releasing a half-bake solution with 99 band-aids on it)

We should at least get a simple glamour log prototype that replaces the Calamity Salvager (quest + achievement sections) and Armoire. Those basically just check if you've done a piece of content or if you own one item from a short and specific list of items. If they add a menu (or NPC) with all that information in one place, one could use it to glamour the appearance straight away or to create a copy of the item to attach a dye it.

The rest of the gear in game could follow at a later date when they figure out a way to add obtained loot to the list and evaluate the memory requirements.

I spend so little time in the cities, I honestly never even looked at the calamity salvager people...definitely will need to so I can see what to clear out.

Keep in mind you HAVE to save the shield.. or re buy at gold saucer I guess? There is not much that takes the offhand slot in the character armory so I just hold onto it there. The right side of the gerodoesn't get recalled by the NPC.

I mean having the savager like that just wastes time, why can't it go in the armory? I am not sure WHEN I did it, but it was not that long ago where I as well did not know about it. It is not like it is transparent you can basically use that as a storage. There is also a select few things that can't be stored anywhere that is goten by MSQ only but can't remember what they are. It was only like 1 or 2 items though.

Yep =/ plus it does not hold everything, like the i90 sets or the fact you lose rare dyes and need keep the base on w/e rare dye you use. It is also close in having nothing because it can be easily overlooked. Go in inn, store stuff, or your house or w/e and another part of the storage system is some npc that people rarely walk up to.

Just because you are fine with it, doesn't me others are. it is barely functional. You are basically saying you are making your self immune to be commented on just because you said "But where did I say you can't request something better" You being ok with it, or stating such does not help the cause of those that want it changed. These forums are for suggesting to SE what to change to the game, and people are going to point out flaws in said system, and flaws what people post about it. The problem you are ignoring with it, and what I did try comment on, is the fact it is "hard to know" what it does and what can be retrieved. So I can say the same thing you said to me, do not bother to reply to me if you are not going to reply to everything I said.
