Then, leave.
Then, leave.
The only sensible person on this thread (and all the others). The housing problem is a community problem, when people think it’s okay to have more than one house. It's insane, people bleat endlessly about SE upgrading servers to add yet more houses, but as Shirogane has proven, that fixes nothing.
The problem is people. Other players. The system is abusable and they abuse it. There's players who have 18 houses all to themselves. Even two is one too many.
Priority should be given to FCs and each account should be able to have no more than one. This may not do much for the Balmung set, but that's what you get for playing on the most popular server, it's unavoidable and totally predictable.
I personally think houses should be given to active and contributing FC
Oh, I know of at least 3 people leaving the game over this patch. The entire patch mind you, not only the housing issue. It feels like if every patch just gets smaller and smaller. 1 new normal dungeon? After half a year with the same 3 dungeons in the expert (and those 3 will continue popping up most of the time)? The 24-man could be interesting I suppose, but it's something you do once a week (if you're lucky), and usually gets really really old after only a couple of clears, due to simple mechanics that we've seen all of before.Want to send a message to se? Don't buy anything from the mogstation until housing is fixed. Ob viously none of the money is being put toward server upgrades that would fix this problem.
Seriously though no one is really leaving the game over this. People will complain for a few days then it will get dropped like usual.
Seems the biggest thing this patch is the new coil mode... and how much of the playerbase have beaten O4 Savage and can do that? I wouldn't have a problem with this, if there was something else more substantial coming with the patch, but it seems clear that the new mode have taken devtime away from other things, that could have been enjoyed by the majority of the playerbase, for something that only a few % will be even elegible for.
So long as they continue to profit, they don't give a fuck what we say. Either enjoy what is given or simply don't play. Cries will not be heard.
You say it fixes nothing, but the houses not being available is what causes that to start with. So all it has proven is that the people in charge dont understand their player base, and hold onto the idea of this community building nonsense that is the sole reason for this design decision, not server issues. The reason we dont have a home instance available on top of the current system is purely a design choice, and nothing short of instance housing will ever fix the problem. It's insane, people bleat endlessly about SE upgrading servers to add yet more houses, but as Shirogane has proven, that fixes nothing.

I disagree. Limit houses to active FCs with minimum size restrictions and provide apartments to individuals. Outfit apartments for gardening and make them a little bigger. Problem solved.
In the end there's a system and people are abusing it. Then you get those players coming on here and hand waving away their behaviour by saying it isn't against the TOS and thus is acceptable. More new plots SHOULD help, but they aren't because they aren't going to people who didn't have them before and there's a small group of players who feel entitled to have even more than their fair share just because they can. The problem, thus, is clear - it isn't against the rules and that should be changed.
If housing is a make or break issue for you, then you're playing the wrong game. I am house-less too, so I'm not talking down from my ivory tower.
I don't think so.Want to send a message to se? Don't buy anything from the mogstation until housing is fixed. Ob viously none of the money is being put toward server upgrades that would fix this problem.

I expect
- great news @ housing
- great news @ cosmetics ("how to collect them") because I am already pissed to have the equip in my inventory
- more
We players are really hasty creating a God, but the day the God doesn't satisfy us (our prayers) he ends in a bottomless abyss.
I have 10,000 needles,
I'm not a weaver,
and I'm not scared to use them.
No, it not just the housing. It realizing that SE doesn't give a flying f*** about their paying player base and all that money we spend on our sub, mog station, season events (amazon for outfits, etc) is all going somewhere else and it not here to make the game better in every way possible. And a few have already said, 1 dungeon... that we get to run over and over and over again. 24 man that will get boring after a few weeks, one primal (which may actually be a blessing with the rate mounts drop so I'll let that one go). And again, you have no right telling anyone that if housing is the breaking point for them, they got the wrong game. SE put in housing, it should've been open to anyone and everyone who had the gil and wanted a house. Not this whole horrible system that people are just abusing to make profit out of.
As many here, also woke up pretty early before going to work, but all wasted
I really hope we get feedback on that issue from YoshiP before the end of the week !
Let's just keep complaining see if something happens /think
