Can we as paying customers agree the lack of Housing is simply unacceptable to SE?

Personally I would wager to you that the majority of the player base cares more about the availability of housing than they do the Perform Emote. I wager they want Housing over Retainer Jump Potions and Housing is the penulntimate glamour, so giving them a dress that is female character only rather than Housing that is universal has more value.

Sadly, true. It been three years since the release of housing and tomorrow, yet again, we are going to see an all out war in people trying to get plots. Plus we are going to see them lovely people who are buying them up just to resell for 10x more. Yeah, no I'm with Gbe on this. By now it should be a priority to fix the housing issue one way or another. There are endlessly amounts of threads of people who want housing, they want to get a plot in the new area, but their chances are about as good as any the rest of us. And really when you break it down, it only going to be the people with good computers, good internet connection, and their path mapped out to the plot they want that will get a house. Is that really fair? I don't think so. And this is coming from someone who has a well built computer, SSD, and fiber internet. Of course my odds are just as good as any if the server crashes while trying to login.

Point is - this is not how content, any content, should be for a paying player base. We all pay that monthly sub. We feed SE our money through that and mog station. There should be no excuse anymore.

at the very least they should curb loop holes in the system, they can do fixes and quality of life changes to be fair for more people... until they find a permanent solution.

1) 1 house per server cluster (personal or FC, if you are a leader a FC should come first, plus you can customize most of it as your own house anyway)
2) the ability to sell an unwanted house to any buyer that can pay you via an in game method system so there is no stealing or cheats.
(for what you initially payed for plot price)
3) for those that hoard houses give them a limited time to offload excess

i would like to play a game where the creators take a hard stance of principle against any and all abusive or cheating like ways..

cut out PvP win trading, cut out house flipping for obscene amounts of gil, cut out bot farming/gathering.

My sub time runs out on Thursday so I'm letting it lapse until this is fixed if I don't manage to score a plot. I've waited 3 years for SE to do something, say something or even just acknowledge there is an issue but the community is rewarded with silence and contempt. I'm just fed up as a customer that is expected to purchase a product monthly while not having a glaring issue resolved after so long a time. All the while getting useless items added to an optional cash shop that should not be taking away from their time to resolve a long standing in-game issue. If they showed a 1/10th of the effort into fixing housing like they do in marketing to make sure I know there is a 30% discount on the cash shop then this thread would not have existed.

If you can make up any excuse at all, SE will use it to justify that Housing is not their fault and that it is something they can't solve. The technology doesn't exist for them to do anything more than give us emotes no one asked for and Cash Shop items...those clearly they can do.

I had to restart my entire computer because the log-in button borked, and I'm not 3k+ in queue. I won't be getting a house this time around in spite of being ready the SECOND the servers went up. This is an unacceptable amount of stress for something that could be solved with instanced housing.

This could be solved by spending more money into servers. They're a billion dollar company yet they fail to have proper working servers.

Just like I posted on the other thread, I will mention it here: They don’t care!!

The whole thing excludes a ridiculous amount of us and apartments are a sad attempt at fixing it.

They already have your money and won’t try another system other than the one they have now.

Face it, the odds of most of you NEVER getting a house are ridiculously high and nothing SE can do at this stage can fix it.
