Can we as paying customers agree the lack of Housing is simply unacceptable to SE?

The evidence speaks for it self and yet after various insults you can take one. I've turned the cheek several times yet those people kept everything I said with integrity and deserve my respect....however a person who doesn't even have the courtesy or integrity to keep and quote properly and omit to change the perspective in my opinion does not. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, apparently by saying your comprehension skills were fine and I quote " Nope. My comprehension skills are just fine, but thank you for your concerns." yet you apparently omitted and missed that it leads me to believe that you put people down when some one is being polite. I tolerate people at least once, after that I no longer see you as an equal. Sorry if I hurt your feelings but hey hopefully you learn going forward to be at a minimum accurate when quoting people. I'm sure that based on the responses I've gotten over a perspective your comprehension skills could at the very least noticed that I turned my cheek several times and wasn't rude. Those people at least had the courtesy to quote properly. Those people I can at least respect even if our perspectives clashed..While that comment might of been a bit harsh, I shouldn't of taken it out and made it to reflect all of Americas educational system...No system/person is perfect specially since most pass just by paper work and don't understand anything anyways, yet at least our actions reflect who we are.

This games forums are always amazing how there is always someone that will argue tooth and nail against improving the game, QoL or otherwise. Meanwhile SE would rather scalp the game for more money than invest in fixing this mess.

If I don't manage to get one within 5 minutes of 4.1 launching (as all housing plots will be sold by then and exorbitant house flipping will commence) I'll probably just unsub until the next Expansion when they decide to grace us with more plots. As a person who has been playing this game since 2.0 nothing has made me consider unsubbing, but this is the one thing that has pushed me over the edge. The silence and non-response by SE to address this over multiple Live Letters, Dev blogs or forum post for over 3 years is beyond frustrating and buying a story potion would be cheaper than continuing to subscribe for the next 2Y+ until they figure out housing in the next Expansion.

If SE can cater to the sub 1% of the player base in (Ultimate), why in the world not for the other 99.9% that want a legitimate chance at acquiring housing?

Could you imagine a scenario in which High End Raid get was limited per server (like 25 WAR Axes, 124 WHM Canes, or only 10 Aiming Rings) and if you weren't WORLD FIRST you could not get those until those people quit the game or relinquished those items? That is how Housing is in this game...

Honestly, if they would just come right out and simply say that they're listening to the complaints and they're working on a solution, I would be fine. I wouldn't be happy, but I wouldn't be ready to quit like I am now. But like I keep saying, despite the current state of housing, they're still opening up Shirogane and allowing alts to buy houses. I'm not saying banning alts from buying houses in Shirogane would suddenly solve everything, but it would at least be a small sign that they're trying to course correct. The fact that people with houses can continue to stand in the way of the people without houses is emblematic of the bigger problem: SE just doesn't care.

The most they've ever said on the subject, as far as I know, has essentially been "servers are expensive and we don't have enough room to add infinite wards like the ones we have now." Okay, i buy that. But for the love of God, just start working on instanced housing then. Why on earth am I continuing to pay a sub so they can continue to dump all these resources into housing features and items, but I can't use any of it? And why not just come out and say "instanced housing will never be a thing" if that's the case so we can just stop asking and move on? I can't tell if they don't say anything because they legitimately don't know or they don't want use to leave. That's kinda what drives me insane more than anything and after years of waiting for them to get it together, I'm reaching a breaking point.

Does anyone know how other regions feel about the current housing situation? I hate to be "that person," but I'm starting to feel like maybe they don't consider this an issue because JP players don't consider it an issue.

All of the other forums here do share some of the same complaints in regards to housing but they get the same cold shoulder from SE about this. I decided to unsubscribe and only have 6 days of service left which means it runs out on Thursday. So if I don't get a plot and if SE doesn't care about the player base to even bother addressing it, I'm not going to continue paying them until they change since there is nothing I can do to make more plots.

I can finish all of 4.1's content within a couple of hours as we're not getting Rival Wings until 4.15 (this was supposed to be out at SB Launch btw), (Ultimate) in 4.11 which is catered only for the sub 1% and Eureka isn't even coming until 4.2 (if ever). I will make a patch by patch purchasing decision until they decide to get their act together and fix this ridiculous housing system and allow people to actually participate.

If everyone did this instead of making threads or posting about how "there's nothing" and then continuing to pay? Things would change. Personally I find there's much for me to experience still, but the loudest voice you have is your dollar. The day I'm actually unsatisfied is the day I cease paying.

Over all the only people complaining are those who don't have houses because the game feel unfair.

I'm a solo player who would love to have my own house in Limsa Lominsa. And yet, I will probably be there along with everyone else the second the patch goes live to grab one in Shirogane. Why? Granted, I could just wait and check for people moving out of Limsa to Shirogane, then grab their old plot when they leave. But why risk it? After waiting so long, I'm willing to cut some corners if it means I get my own pad. Because like many players out there who solo, we are tired of having to pay an arm and a leg for stuff that can be gardened and whatnot for a fraction of the cost. I've already sold practically everything I have that can be sold just to get the gold for this, and even then, I might get on a split second too late for any of this to matter.

In closing, to anyone who doesn't have a house, keep up the good fight! And if you play in any worlds that actually have some open plots after the initial rush dies down, give a shout out on the forums!
