    There was always a x.x5 and x.x6 patch between the main patches. Sometimes also a x.x7 patch.

    Yeah, the wait between 3.0 and 3.1 was like...5 months. I nearly quit for a bit when 3.1 hit since I was simply burned out. And yeah, they've been doing this since...forever. I don't see the issue either.
