5% is a far bigger chunk of players than own a house (in any district), yet every patch we get new furniture's and housing features which people enjoy, including a massive furniture capacity increase in 4.0 which was met with so much praise. Why are people content for mass amounts of server space and resources dedicated to housing on a near constant basis, but as soon as raiders get one bit of much-needed content (that uses recycled assets no less), then the toys are thrown out of the pram.

I'm not complaining about housing btw, people enjoy their house and they are entitled to their content, I'm complaining about this mentality that anything to do with top end raiding is a "waste of resources". This is a theme park MMO designed to provide something for everyone (not everything for one demographic), so let the top end players have their content finally, and enjoy the content that was designed for you.

I think you misunderstand the diadem weapon controversy. Nobody cared that it was hard to get, people cared that it was locked behind layers of RNG, forcing them to grind out bad content for the sake of giving it life. On top of that, the weapons were 5 ilvls higher than both relic and raid, and was released at the same time as the final stage of the relic, adding salt to the hard work put into those weapons weapon because they were less powerful than an RNG weapon tied to bad content. To make matters worse, the devs response was "calm down" and "its the end of the expansion, who cares" rather than addressing a blatant flaw in their progression system.

Ultimate coil, on the other hand, is an additional progression tier for raiders that enhances the game's progression rather than undermines it. Your example is not only wrong but also allows me to point out why the ultimate series is a good thing.
