Hi
Is it your rotation? I’m a level 68 BLM currently and use this:
Single monster: blizzard 3 > enochian > thunder 3 > blizzard 4 > fire 3 > fire 4 * 3 > fire 1 > fire 4 * 3 then repeat.
Multiple monsters: blizzard 3 > enochian > thunder 4 > fire 3 > fire 4 * 2 > flare > transpose > thunder 4 * 2 then repeat. I guess I can add foul when I unlock it
Not sure what my dps is, but dungeon runs seem to go ok.![]()
OP has cleared V1, V2 back in august, to do savage you need minimun Ilvl of 320 to even do V2, go logic.
he's definetly not a fresh 70 (tank) neither I'm trying to "hurt his feelings" I gave constructive criticism not insults. OP is missinformed in what each class arecapable of doing and what's the current acceptable dps, mch and bard do not struggle to hover over 3k I don't know where you are getting this from. and If you are talking about his BLM Op is comparing both of his classes dps wise without any more context so I assume they will be around the same gear and we are also talking about BLM, bard mch I will understand but BLM is just as powerful as samurai even at fresh 70 if you are barely doing over 3k you are still not doing the optimal rotation (on a dummy). This threat is about dps numbers as that's the main topic OP brough in his first post if numbers are offensive to you don't keep reading for your own convinience.Ok? who said their blm cleared savage or their blm has i330+? some people may not know how much gear impacts things.First off, OP brought up DPS numbers.
Second, OP mentioned in page 3 that their Warrior is dealing close to 3k (which if it's true, it's generally people who are over i330. Even then there's no real way of telling that the "3k DPS" isn't some made up number without logs/parses. Judging by their fflogs, it's about half of 3k)
3K DPS from a DPS is fine when you are i290-310 and trying to learn the job and in the process in getting better, and some jobs can't do much more then 3k dps at 310 gear.
that doesn't matter, what is your BLM i level and more importantly, the ilevel of the weapon?I have trouble recording the game on my machine which is why I don't have videos to show.
Also my 2.7k with warrior is with item level 320ish.
to be fair I might do more than 3k dps with the level 50 black mage rotation considering the level 50 rotation is just so much easier to do correctly.
why not just show your gear? the left has way more weight anyway
(Looked)
I know it is off topic but people do not know this so I am going to say it, I do not care if it is "only level 36"
NEVER NEVER NEVER used a NQ weapon, never never never.
A good example I like to point out is a i250 weapon comparison because I seen people use NQ 250 weapons for ilevel carry. NEVER DO THIS, the PVP i235 outperforms a i250 NQ, that is how big the gap is, never, never, never use a NQ weapon.

Difficulty is relative to the player. Some people find tanking and/or healing easy, while others don't. Same goes for dps classes. That's really what it boils down to.
OP's BLM is ilvl 314.
OP also said this :
Unless he doesn't actively upload on FFlogs, I'm just going by the numbers I can find, he did 1.3k dps as his WAR in Lakshmi. He may be exaggerating or just saying random numbers but the fact remains that A LOT of people shared tips and gave advises.
What did OP say?

that can be a 3600-4400? depending what slots are the higher ones
still sticking to this:
If they are lying or trolling I am not judging, it does not effect me in the attempt to help people. This is where I may recommend trying rdm again or practice cast skating. Even when dodging, there is a split second where you can move as the spell finishes and it still go off. Also swiftcast and triplecast helps further with this, you can move while those are in effect and cast while moving with them on, it is what they are there for. You can also use thunder procs in the same manner. As said you transpose when you know you will not make refreshing it, dealing with umberal I is much better then losing a foul build up. It is also a good habit to use convert in your starter rotation, so you trigger foul before having to go astral ice. This is imporant because foul is free and you have no DPS loss to server ticks when you go into ice, that is why I said you want to save your thunder procs and fouls while in ice. Sometimes you do use thunder procs while in fire though, esp when you need to move or its gonna drop off the monster.
Remember once you release an insta cast, you got about 2 sec of free movement with out no dps impact.

Never said I'm not gonna help. Many others, myself included did help. Oh, and that thing you said about rdm?
Which is why I never brought up RDM even though it really seems to be the caster dps fit for OP considering they said they're struggling with the amount of movements required in EX trials.
don't care, I wanted to reinforce the idea to use GCD instacast cool down to dodge, since RDM has a lot more of them, someone can use rdm to get used to it, has nothing to do with taking it as "main"
What this thread is teaching me is that anyone who isn't max geared i340 doing 100th percentile damage should be kicked from Susano/Laksmi.
Is this message you guys really want to be sending? There's a very fine line between expecting decent play and expecting literal perfection and I feel like it's crossed way too much.
