I have to assume you want maximum DPS reduction. You didn’t state that you were not looking or maximum efficiency. You’re just looking for sub optional efficiency.

Everybody wants that, the difference is some people understand the world isn't perfect and still live in it.

What incentives for capped Tanks to do DR and run through Satasha again? Ground mounts? That extra small amount of gil for “In Need”?

Roulette mounts fly and you get Clusters if you end up in Sastasha, i have no idea why you're asking this question.

Though, here is the thing, your ideas and my ideas are just band aids. The do not provide the answers to these three questions:
• Why do people do not want to play roles that are not just hitting an enemy or enemies?
• What actions does this community do that turns off people from playing Tanks and Healers
• What disincentives some tanks and healers from going into DR solo (not bringing anyone they trust)?
These are questions that need to be answered before more solid solutions (not band aids) can be brought forward.

This isn’t a FF14 issue, this is an overall MMO and Tabletop RPG issue.

bandaids are important, bandaids exist in real life and are used all the time, you can't discount something just because it's a "bandaid".

1a) because those roles have additional responsibilities and many people don't like responsibilities when playing a game
1b) they do but that doesn't mean they don't want a change of pace some of the time.
2) they blame them for slow runs or wipes.
3) this is an MMO some people like playing with their friends. unless i really need to cap something, i'm not going into roulette solo.

Because those two things are not enough to incentive tanks to stay in DR: Leveling, even after cap.

Also, I am asking because there is a point of exhaustion that will happen. At some point Tanks will have gathered enough clusters to satisfy them for the time being and/or have gotten those mounts. All that is left for an incentive is Gil from In Need and/or selling the clusters on the Market Board.

Band aids are important, and I am fully aware they exist in real life and I use them quite often.

I am not discounting the ideas because they are band aids, I am discounting people treating these bandaids as final solutions to the problem.

1a) Agreed, that is one reason, and seems to be the main reason presented on this board

1b) I am not following, by pace do you mean the speed one goes through a dungeon?

2) I agree on this one. As you have seen on the forums, Healers and Tanks have threads that are either PSAs or “calling them out” for not doing or doing something the poster doesn’t/does agree with. The ongoing thread of “Healer DPS” are just one of those threads.

3) That is one reason, valid reason, and probably the best one.

The thing is that you have answered these questions, based on your experiences. I can go to someone else with these questions and get different answers. I can probably make a separate thread and see what answers I get, it would be interesting to see the responses.

I do agree that this isn’t solvable (at least currently), so applying bandaids can help.
