The only forseeable way is addons finally being allowed, but SE loves to dance around it whenever it's brought up. They say they're still working on it, but with how many times it's being "pushed back", it's never going to happen
What toxic players? Sorry, compared to 99% of all other MMORPG's the com in FF14 is pure gold and a parser would not change a thing. If someone wants to be toxic, he will be that anyway. SE has simply no trust in their own community.

SSS is in no way a proper replacement for a parser. There is no possibility to analyse your rotation, no mechanic that you have to react to and so on. Its a nice toy and nothing more.

The toxic players meaning those who actively used the parser to harass people, for the sake of harassing people. I can remember a good deal of complaints about people using the parsers for harassment, hell back in the i90 days, I was harassed myself on an alt for having low numbers with my horrible gear (doing Wanderer's Palace NM for tomes to get that better gear). They aren't the effect of a parser for sure, but sadly a lot of people do see it as that, and SE did as well, so they made a decision on it as a business.

Don't misunderstand me, I've played MMOs for years, and in those MMOs, especially WoW, I've seen less toxicity over DPS numbers then anything. I'm in full support of an official parser

Could not agree more. In a good run of the O4S dummy, I'm lucky to even see a second TFC. If I need to perform mechanics I want to try to optimize my DPS while performing mechanics. SSS will in no way, shape or form help me with that. Clearing it may be a baseline for your gear and your knowledge of your rotation, but putting that rotation into practice while executing the actual fight is another beast all together

Indeed its true they can harass players for not pushing out numbers but its also true that they will complain or even kick healers for not dpsing. Anyway my point is players that harass other players will continue to do so with or w/out a parser.

On the flip side im not asking for a group parser all I want is a parser just for myself so i can see if im doing my job at its fullest. Granted I wouldn't mind a group parser but at the end of the day having my own parser that gives me an accurate dps would greatly improved the player base that wants to get better. Which i believe will greatly out weigh any negative pushback.

Were numbers invented or discovered? How many Moogles does it take to make Kuponut rum? Answer: zero... They will give you a quest to make it.
