Kicked for not using Goad

So I'm in Dzemael Darkhold on my Dragoon, out DPSing the tank and other DPS combined when our tank, a warrior, runs out of TP. This is literally the last pull before the final boss. She asks for a goad and I politely tell her I don't have it set up, to give me a second after the fight. And I promptly get kicked from the party.

Now...on higher level content I get it. On difficult or progression, I understand. This was a freaking 44 dungeon. I was carrying my weight and more. Normally I even go that extra mile with goad or what have you, I just hadn't thought to set it up on my Dragoon yet. Just casual leveling, ya know? I just don't understand this level of jerkwadery.

If they made this comment it is no longer different playstyles it is harassment.

It would've been fair if you were actively refusing to use Goad, but not even giving you a chance is going too far.

Ask the Tank why they kicked you and you probably get a completely different story which makes you look like an asshole. These types of posts are pointless because no one here actually knows what happened.

While that is sad, I feel like this belongs in that duty finder stories thread as opposed to making a whole new thread. All you're really doing is confirming what we already know. Some players are jerks and there's not much you can do about it save for potentially reporting them and heading back into queue.

That being said... goad clearly couldn't have been that necessary if it came up that late in the dungeon. At that point, it wouldn't have even been necessary to switch it into your kit cause I doubt you would have needed to use it on the final boss at all. They probably only kicked you cause they wanted another check on their jerk moment list and because you're a dps and your spot would be filled instantly.

"Difference in Playstyle" Goad is now in what i call the "Optional skills." There are multiple skills for players to choose from. Some players like to support the group so they will make sure goad is on the bar. Some players prefer burn burn burn and do not care about supporting the group.

So basically it comes down to "difference in playstyle" so if kicked for not having Goad on your bar is not a punishable offence. You can love it or hate it... either way its still an optional skill to have on your bar.

IF they would prefer burn burn burn they would support their group because physical classes with TP can burn burn burn.

But yeah i know most people are only thinking of themselfs but most of these "optional" skills are useless anyway.
