Can we have hardware AA for 4.0 please? ^^

I agree. They should add it. I add my voice for this matter.

They should incorporate new AAs for use. FXAA is the worst of them all visually. It's lightweight but it blurs the hell out of everything making colors dull and the already low res textures even blurrier. And btw they should add HD texture options for PC users. C'mon SE.
FFXIV needs to do a lot in terms of graphics, and sadly, their forum feedback for the most part says graphics are secondary and doesn`t mean much. XIV graphics are getting old, fast, the texture resolution just don`t hold up anymore. If they meant to kept the PC players engaged for the future, they really need to start thinking serious graphical upgrades. The changes with DX11 were minimal, in fact, the issue DX11 generated with the shadows for many players became much more of a problem than an upgrade.
Altogether, DX11 and 3.0 downgraded the graphics of XIV to give us somewhat better lightning and a less than good real time reflections. The shaders went to hell.
ARR vs HW shadows, both on DX11.

That thing with the shadows is bug and it's already reported in the technical section and the thread moved to "currently reviewing" section. It's been many months since then and there is still no official answer about a fix. They know the issue. Yes shadows are problematic in DX11. I'm not very happy with the game's graphics. They are not well made and they are dated. I hope the team will acknowledge this and issue fixes and graphical upgrades for the PC client in the not so distant future. I just wish we had an official response about those issues for once.FFXIV needs to do a lot in terms of graphics, and sadly, their forum feedback for the most part says graphics are secondary and doesn`t mean much. Continues to be an ongoing problem.
I managed to find that using DSR and reducing transparent lighting quality to normal produces playable frame rates and removal of jaggies, but it requires a fairly powerful PC.
If there were real AA solutions, this wouldn't be necessary.
We have been waiting since patch 2.0 for hardware AA and now with PS3 support scrapped we still do not have it.
I want to make a point that it is getting stale and in the next 1-2 years this game will have a major competitor being Cyber Punk 2077 so I suggest for Yoshi P to start budgetting for graphical improvements to be implemented in time for this games competition, this game needs hardware AA support, MFAA, TXAA, TAA, and high res textures, some textures are okay but many need cleaning up or this game will look like it is old and not cared for.
The anti-aliasing makes me feel bad, it is a constant distraction and even with a 1080 GTX I am unable to run the DSRx4 on my 1440p monitor at a reasonable frame rate to get rid of it.
I Can’t Believe It, Miqo'te got some ass, I wanna see it. Roegadyn got a ass, It ain’t a secret.
HC NEET represent!
Comparing FFXIV to Cyber Punk 2077... I want to believe you're trolling- but I can only assume you aren't.
No you are misunderstanding my point, they are both MMOs and while FFXIV will never look anywhere as good as Cyberpunk, when competition is released the best stratergy is to release something at the same time to distract your playerbase. Its also a good idea to minimize the greatest weakness in a product.

Cyberpunk is gonna be an mmo? last i heard it was a single player game with MP elements, not so much an actual mmo. >.>No you are misunderstanding my point, they are both MMOs and while FFXIV will never look anywhere as good as Cyberpunk, when competition is released the best stratergy is to release something at the same time to distract your playerbase.
