This thread looks like a pro-Healer DPS motive under the cover of a PSA. I'm all for throwing down oGCD buffs as need be myself, but for a different reason than so healers can focus on DPS.

Sounds more like you're trying to railroad the thread into another healer DPS thread to me. This has nothing to do with the rubbish healer-dps debate.
This is about tanks forcing healers into working overtime to keep them alive, when all they have to do is press 1 button every 10-20 seconds..
Hmmm I agree with Altena, this isn't a pro-healer more of tanks lacking common sense with CD or over using CD not knowing when to use them properly.
Never!
*uses cooldowns* "It's not that my healing is bad, you should be using your cooldowns!"
Personally I enjoy those times lolSounds more like you're trying to railroad the thread into another healer DPS thread to me. This has nothing to do with the rubbish healer-dps debate.

Yeah well I mean, that also happens. Healers do blame tanks for their own fails too.
However not using CD's is just flat out bad. Healers not using CDs is also bad.
I'm not a healer main, and I will spam-heal someone if they require it.
However the truth is that they shouldn't require heal spam if they are using CDs.
The healer DPS debates? I mean, I won't say I am not entertained by those threads, because I absolutely am.
However that topic is overdone and tired.

I love these threads, they are basically a call out to people who will never read them and don't offer any kind of worthwhile discussion.
Ways to know you have a decent tank;
Is well geared, knows his CD's / rotations , ask if large pulls are ok, gauges DPS after pull and is able to judge further pulls, uses food if their lacking, ask for tips and is able to take tips with out getting butt hurt, is willing to learn mechanics as needed.
Ways to know you really shouldn't tank;
You can't handle the pressure and people keep wiping, don't know your rotations, your healer is being blamed for deaths that you know are your fault but play dumb, leave
a queue because they don't like what they got.
Ways to know People think they know how to tank;
Ignore communication, can't keep enmity, blames healers /dps, complains others don't know your role, can't follow mechanics, just plain irritates the group.
There are things you can do between heals that make you less bored when playing healer.
I suggest you check out the many other threads about what you can do in these circumstances.
Kind of like your post?
I made a similar thread about DPS not using AoE skills.
A few people openly admitted to learning stuff from it, and they decided to start using them.
I consider that a win.
